Product Overview

The innovation responsible for both the unique appearance and the unparalleled level of performance of the Bosch 10 in. Dual Bevel Glide Miter Saw is Bosch's patented Axial-Glide System. Beyond giving the saw its distinctive profile, Bosch's Axial-Glide System eliminates three key challenges miter saw users have endured since the first slide systems debuted many years ago. While the traditional sliding compound miter saw approach enables users to make wider cross cuts that system takes up more space and is prone to misalignment and stickiness over time. By replacing the sliding rail system with a hinged or articulating glide arm system similar to the linkage used in a four-bar suspension design Bosch created a more compact miter saw that delivers durable precision, remaining true and smooth over time.

How loud is this saw? I have a Hitachi that makes my ears bleed, even with ear protection!

Asked by: DogwoodD
You will still need hearing protection, but Hitachi's have been some of the loudest saws I have used. This one is noticeably quieter.

The specification chart says this 10" saw will cut through 6 inches of thickness. The 12" version claims 4 inches. How would the thickness be greater with a 2" smaller blade?
Asked by: Fred
Fred, I think they have it backwards. I can only cut through 4" and I have the 10" model. You run into the arbor / blade washer for the blade before you get much past 4".

15 Amp Corded Electric 10 in. Dual-Bevel Sliding Glide Miter Saw with 60-Tooth Carbide Saw Blade is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 8.

Saw is easy to use, up front controls are a little complicated at first but much nicer than having to reach behind. Fits with very little overhang on a 25" counter and rotates out of the way when not in use. Blade guard has a tendency to get caught/deflect during some cuts, and there is a small amount of lateral deflection during sliding cuts. Dust collection is surprisingly good when hooked up to a Festool CT vac with a 27mm hose and expect to see even better collection with a larger diameter hose. Overall, this is a very good saw with an excellent crosscut capacity but minor deflection issues in the guard and wider cuts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very rugged tool My wife let me get this saw which in itself is fantastic. I actually had two other miter saws before this one, and returned them to the store. The first saw was to limited, and I would not be able to cut certain pieces of wood. The second saw was very poor for checking correct angle or bevel, back it went. Yes, I had to pay more for the Bosch, but everything was easier to deal with for checking the accuracy of the saw. Plus, a much greater diversity of wood widths can be accomplished with the saw. One issue is the weight.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Uncommonly Smooth Action, Tighter Tolerances In The Glide Feature Would Make It Five Star I have been chasing one of these saws for a while starting with a display I saw at a local store several years ago, it was a twelve inch model. A radical change from the norm of various incarnations of the tube rail slide is what caught my eye. I don't like twelve inch saws for reasons I won't bore you with here, and so I waited and bided my time, and sure enough they came up with a ten inch version. Considerably more RPM at the blade and overall rigidity is pretty good on the ten inch model. For a space saving stationary shop saw that won't be getting thrown in the truck much, this is the saw to buy. Four star rating is for the fiddly adjustments out of the box that are required to get all the detents stopping true, and the cumulative flex in the various sections of the glide mechanism that add up to about a half degree either way. It is a Chinese built saw after all, no sense deluding ourselves about that. Be forewarned it is a heavy pig, and only a pound lighter than it's bigger cousin.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I'm really disappointed in this saw. Bosch got some things right like the dual axis swing arm system, but they stopped far short on some of the features that can't be compromised in a quality miter saw. The detent system for setting the cutting angle in the horizontal plane is made out of plastic and is NOT capable of cutting accurate angles consistently. The system will NOT stay in adjustment, and even if it is in adjustment at 90 degrees, when the table is rotated to the 45 degree position and locked into the detents, the cuts are 1 to 2 degrees off. I've never been so frustrated and disappointed in what is supposed to be a quality tool. Bottom line, the tool is impractical and basically unusable if you require accuracy in your miter joints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from miter saw perfect saw for home owners and woodworks. love that it does not have the two bars for the sliding motion.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good idea but.... The saw was almost dead accurate out of the box and was very easy to adjust in every way. My major complaint is that there is a lot of side to side play caused by the cutting action. You have to be very careful when you make a cut to push straight down or the cut will skew as much as 3/16". Not a plus for jobsite use when hundreds of cuts are made every day.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not perfect The saw is great but the service leaves a lot to be desired. And the blade that comes with it (60 tooth general purpose) is not good. They recommend that you purchase a more expensive Bosch blade to get good results. The blade that comes with the saw vibrates at the edges and does not enter the initial part of the cut properly. Once the blade is in the cut the vibration reduces enough to get a decent cut but it leaves a wider gap at the beginning of the cut. At the recommendation of Bosch Online I took the saw to the service center and was told it needed a better blade and that there was nothing they would or could do for me. I notified the Bosch online service group about this and that I had an issue with the blade behavior and they promised they would get back with me quickly. After a couple of weeks I hadn't heard from them and so I resent the message to which they apologized for not responding and assured me that they would respond quickly. It is now three weeks after my second request and they still haven't responded. Ignoring me won't fix the problem with the defective blade. I don't feel I should have to pay $125.00 plus more for a better blade just to have a functional unit. I tried the blade on my Makita LS1013 and it behaves the same. However a DeWalt 60 tooth general purpose blade works perfectly. When I took the saw to the service center it took it with the Original Bosch blade and the DeWalt blade so that they could see the difference. I have quite a few Bosch tools and I thought this one would be up to the same standard as their other tools. SIGH !!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from inaccurate Saw Accuracy is my number one concer when I buy any tool , I bought this saw over a year ago , it made actuate cut for about 6 month, I can not setup the this saw to cut accurately , when locked in the chop saw position the is over and inch of play , it does not lock solidly in place , if you make a wide cut you can be off by as much as an 1/8" , any bit of side pressure when you cutting will skew your cut , I have a 30 year old ryobe that still cut dead on , now the $800 piece of junk is only only used for rough work and framing , I've since bought a dewalt dw16 12" and this saw is dead on. I really loved this saw , if it could only make dead on cuts.
