Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hutch Outstanding Impact Driver
First, Homedepot's service was excellent. Delivered on time and the item/case was not damaged.
Second, Bosch's customer service was outstanding. They registered my driver in less than 10 minutes and offered to explain the tool to me.
Lastly, The driver is an amazing product. Out of the box it was charged and used for 2 weeks straight putting up a fence. This fence is metal posts, (oil pump casing) and C purlins. There were 6 self tapping screws per picket. With a total of 500 pickets installed. Used both batteries everyday and this tool did not miss a beat. NEVER overheated and never gave out. If you are looking to buy an impact that you can use everyday for everything this is the tool. It is an all around solid tool. This bad boy will burn through cheap drill bits and nut drivers, just FYI. Also nut drivers and bits need to have a longer shaft to lock into place on this tool, not an issue for me.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by thebighash Powerful & Heavy Duty yet Compact & Light Weight
This is a great Impact Driver! It is very Powerful and a truly Heavy Duty tool! You can feel the torque when doing the toughest jobs or even doing your average day-to-day house job. It is also surprisingly Compact and Light Weight. This is suitable for a pro and is also priced right to be affordable by the home DIYer.
It comes with 2 batteries that last so long I don't think I'll even need the spare. The case if very strong and heavy duty as well. It is pro grade.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JackinNH My New Love
I have had a number of cordless screwdrivers, drills, impact wrenches etc. but I just love this one. Light weight so I can work for hours and with more power than my old tools. The dual head for hex and square drive is so handy. I can't say enough about this unit. Light when you need it, variable speed etc make this one small power house. the took case fits nicely on my shelving with a small footprint. Love it and would buy again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYinOH Much better than my DeWalt
I'm a DeWalt snob, always have been. Up until a few weeks ago my DeWalt was my "go to" impact. I picked up the Bosch unit to keep in my mechanical room for fast access without going all the way out to the tool chest. I figured the Bosch would be comparable to my DeWalt. I was wrong, it's way better.
Lithium Ion batteries have some huge advantages. 1) They charge super fast, 2) They don't trail off as they deplete like NiCad batteries do, they'll run at 100% until the battery is dead, and 3) They super lightweight.
I was nervous about the 2v difference between the DeWalt and the Bosch, but it turns out the "20v" is just a marketing gimmick. All the lithium ion units have roughly the same amperage and battery life - there's no noticeable difference between 18v and 20v.
As noted above, LiIon makes for a much lighter tool. I found the DeWalt to be very "bottom heavy". Even though the battery was lightweight, all of the weight was down there - which makes the tool pull down on your hand. The Bosch distributes the weight closer to where your hand grips it, which makes it feel much lighter when you're using it.
The motor on the Bosch engages much quieter and cleaner than the DeWalt motor. It has a much smoother operation which I found led to less cammed out screw heads.
The light on the DeWalt can only be switched on with rotation, and stays on for a few seconds afterwards. The Bosch unit can start the light without starting the motor, and use it almost like a flashlight. AWESOME feature.
The DeWalt only takes quick release hex bits. The Bosch unit takes quick release hex bits AND has a standard square drive for sockets. AMAZING feature.
I still love my DeWalts and I'm not going to stop buying them. But side by side the Bosch is a better unit. If you're torn between the two spend a little more for the Bosch.. It's worth it.
