I found that the Bosch 18-volt EC Brushless Motor Socket Ready Impact with 1/4in. Hex and 1/2 in. Square Drive Wrench to have Great power for a 18 volt battery impact driver. The set comes with 2- 18 volt batteries , impact driver, belt clip and the Click & Go Organization carrying case with Exact Fit trays.
The driver was able to remove the lug nuts off of my car using one hand! I also used it to drive in screws to attach draw fronts, the short body made it easy to get it to tight spaces. Overall the Bosh 18 volt socket ready impact driver has delivered more then I had expected. I do find myself using the Bosh Driver instead of my cordless drill.

According to my husband who is the one using it, it is very powerful for an 18 volt and the compact design makes it very easy and lightweight. He would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to buy one.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by alwaysathomedepot Mixed Review - First the good news...
I was excited to test this tool. It boasts a ton of features.
First, it's a Bosch! Great warranty and customer service. This one features a 1-year unconditional warranty and offers a 3-yr tool protection plan, a 2-yr battery plan and a 1 call resolution hotline.
I was excited most about the three speeds and best in class torque - 1,650 in.-lbs. Which I translated into 137.5 ft. -lbs. (1650/12). 137 ft-lbs is a lot of torque!
This product ships with charger, two 18v batteries, the impact driver with belt clip and a hard case that can be built on using the Bosch organization system.
The impact driver also features a socket ready chuck for easy change for 1/4" hex to 1/2" square drive socket chuck. It has three LED lights to reduce shadows on the work surface. I has a Durashield Housing which claims to withstand multiple 10' drops. The motor is built for 2X life. The electronics are built to protect from overheating and overloading which will shorten the life of a typical cordless impact driver. The batteries feature a cool pack design to aid in cooler, longer life during use and during the life of tool ownership.
Being in a position to test the claims- I started with the Durashield Housing. I did drop this impact driver with battery 5 times onto the concrete garage floor from 4'-6' heights. It sustained a few expected mars and cosmetic damage to the housing but still works like it just came out of the box. I really think this impact driver can take abuse from heavy use.
The lights built into the driver are bright and useful.
The ergonomics, weight and balance were superb and easy to maneuver / grasp. The optional belt clip is very helpful too.
The hard case may be a positive to some but I would have preferred a smaller case or a soft case. It feels to me like this is a forced solution to introduce and adopt a new organization system called "Click & Go".
In my testing, this tool did not offer the torque I expected it to have. As noted, the product claims to have 1650 in.-lbs. torque. Translated to 137.5 ft-lbs this would be more than enough to help with breaking loose and tightening the wheel lug nuts on my cars. My cars specify 70-90 ft. -lbs of torque to properly seat each lug nut. The instructions note that the maximum torque is built up when the impact driver is allowed 6-10 seconds. I attempted to break all five lug nuts that I put on myself using hand tools and none would break loose even though I patiently attempted each for 10 seconds. Putting the wheels back on, I progressed from low speeds to high speeds and allowed the driver to work 6-10 seconds per lug nut. When I checked the nuts with a torque wrench, they ranged between 70-80 ft.-lbs. I hand tightened to get to the proper 86 ft.-lbs.
The short story is that I think this is a great product that is built for driving a lot of deck screws but it didn't meet my expectations if I was planning to use it most for track days or twice a year to change out summer/winter rims and tires.

First of all, I bought this to quickly rotate tires on my car and also drive wood/drywall screws during home construction projects. On the automotive front, once I charged the battery, it easily loosened the lug nuts ( I think the other review on this product that stated it wasn't powerful enough to do so didn't have a fully charged battery). I can see using this gun on all kinds of auto repair.
On the home construction side, the variable speed trigger makes it easy to drive smaller screws without stripping the threads in the wood.
Overall, I don't think there is a better tool out there at any price.

Bosch hit a home run with this impact! First of all, I did not purchase this tool to change tires. Even though some other folks use it for that, I dont believe it was intented for that. This is a very powerful tool with some of the best technology. It has a super rugged exterior, and the ability to switch between 1/4 inch hex to a 1/2 inch sq drive. Batteries last forever! The 3 speed power control really comes in handy, and an on/ off switch for the leds, wow! I can go on and on about this driver. Its not cheap, but this is a giant leap above the competition.

Powerful and solid is what comes to mind when I put this impact driver to use. Good quality and yet light weight. It feels good in your hands. It comes with two batteries and I love the charge indicator on the batteries. It is socket ready so you don't need to deal with those fragile socket adapters. To summarize I would recommend this impact driver for anyone who's looking for a quality tool that will endure frequent use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Baze Wonderful impact driver
I got this impact driver and I could not wait to try it out. It certainly did not disappoint. The quality of the materials and build is typical Bosch - very well made and with great balance. It is very light and the handle feels great in your hand. It is certainly not a cheap tool that is made for the occasional home use - it is a professional grade tool that is made to last through plenty of use. Quality comes at a price, so although this is not cheap, I think it is worth the price.
The box that it comes with is also nice, especially since it can fit multiple tools, but it is too big for this tool alone. It comes with two batteries, and a charging station, which are all compact and well designed. I like the fact that you can check the charge on the battery, very handy. A word of warning though - it does not come with any driver bits or sockets. So 5/5 for build, design and materials.
The power that this driver has is very good, I'd say at the high end of the range for an impact driver of this size. It has 3 modes and the fact that you do not need a socket adapter is a HUGE plus for me. It also has 3 LED lights on the front to help, but if you do not want them on, you can simply turn them off with the press of a button. It does a great job with screws, even without a pilot hole, and it is small enough to get into some tight spaces. 5/5 for use and power.
I honestly cannot say enough good thing about this tool. It is well made, it works like a charm, it is a great size and weight (about 3lbs) and I am sure will last me a long time.
