I am very pleased with the quality of the tool. I researched many other brands and also purchased a Dremel which I promptly returned because it did not feel durable. The Bosch is a little heavy but I am sure it will outlast any other brands in this category. I was also very pleased with the included accessories, which if purchased separately would cost over $100.00.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by carlos Powerful with excellent quick change tooling.
This tool is powerful and has an excellent "quick change" tool device. I've been remodeling for over six months now and don't know how I got along without it. Precise cuts and hard to get at places are barely a problem.
In my photo , I am cutting off a door hinge screw that was keeping my drywall from laying flat. I would have had to take the drywall back off to get to that screw.

I just added a Bosch Multi-X Oscillating Tool to my collection. I did a lot of research on oscillating tools, and the Bosch was always the recognized champion in bench tests. I am impressed with the smooth start up – very nice. This tool purrs. Seems sturdy and well made. My first use gave consistent flawless performance. The only detractor is the ergonomics of the variable speed dial. The dial is small and therefore does not permit ease of control for more precision speed adjustment.

This tool is a beast. Works hard and fast. It is a bit heavy but not bad. Cord is nice and long. Blades are average as I was able to dull one fairly quickly (after cutting about 20 8D Finish nails. All else is good, would purchase again

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spud Toughest tool ever
This is the most versitile tool I have ever had. I remodeled my home completely and this was my main tool. When other tools couldn't do the job my oscillator did. Cut anything, nails, jams, metal, and any other kind of wood. Power to spare.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bruddahmike Do You need this?
I did a lot of comparisons before buying the MX30EK-35. Seems to be a great tool so far. I do a fair bit of wood rot and termite repair here in Hawaii, and I've used it a bunch of times. My favorite features are the quick-change and the speed dial. My old Multi-tool lacked the quick change option, and I would say don't even think about getting one that doesn't have this - extremely useful when changing from blade to blade, or from sanding pad to blade (which you will do a lot if you're like I am). I also really love the long cord. Keeps me from having to use an extension at times. In operation, the tool is very smooth and cuts well. The sanding pad didn't last long, but I don't think any of them do. Although the sanding is pretty good for small areas, it is not primarily a sanding tool The motter is not overly loud, but seems nice and strong. The tool itself is built like a tank and is easier to hold than the expensive orange brand. The kit I got was very well equipped and the case is very nice. It'll be interesting to see how long the brushes last, but I really have made great use of this in my painting business and handyman jobs. I'm totally satisfied so far. Don't make the mistake I made by going on the cheap. You'll end up buying two! The cheapo ones are that way for a reason. For not much more, the BOSCH has been a way better tool.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DougG Very useful around the house
This tool has been quite useful in various projects around the house.
Using the supplied accessories, I've cut baseboards, trimmed door jambs, plunge cut into plywood for floor vents, sanded wood, sanded paint, scraped linoleum, scraped and cut glue stuck on the subfloor, and probably a few other things I've forgotten.
It's easy to hold and maneuver into the right spots. Changing blades couldn't be easier. I've really only had to do that when changing jobs, as all the cutting tools I've used have been very durable and reliable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ChaosCreed0805 Truly excellent tool and accessories.
I bought this a couple months ago for doing some work on our deck. It is an excellent product. With the "hammerhead" wood blade, I was able to cut off ten joists at a right angle, with a cross-beam below and a flooring board above. I'm not sure any other type of tool could possibly do that. I also used it to flush-cut a number of screws. Word to the wise: when cutting screws, make sure you use a blade made for hardened metal, not just "metal".
The soft-start feature is very helpful. Vibration of the tool itself is minimal, basically something I don't even notice. Noise level is mild. I was a little concerned about the ergonomics when I bought it. There are others that are a little more slim and lighter weight, but once I started using it, that concern went away. (That said, if you have really small hands, it might be a little challenge to use for an extended period of time. I'm a guy with slightly larger-than-average hands, e.g., I normally wear Large or X-Large gloves.)
Another aspect somewhat unique to the design of the Bosch blades and mounting system is that you can mount them at any angle. Very handy when you want to mount the blade at an angle other than simply straight-forward. The lever that locks/unlocks the mounting system requires some force, but you get used to it.
The case is very good, although it seems like better use of the space might be an opportunity for improvement. The accessory box is very well designed and holds a surprising number of blades and other items.
Cord length is also a definite plus.
