The product specification says it includes 2 U shank blades. Yet a few bullet points lower in parentheses "it doesn't accept U shank blades."
Is this a typo and the JS260 comes with 2 T shank blades?

The JS260 accepts T-shank blades only and comes with two T-shank blades.

Thanks for your question. The JS260 has a maximum cutting capacity of 2-11/16" into wood so it will work for cutting 2x4s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased with a 10-pack of Bosch blades and a 2-pack of Spyder skeletonized blades a month ago. It's a joy to use with the tool-less blade change, variable speed, and ability to limit the maximum rpm. Cutting 1/4" birch plywood for top caps on kitchen cupboards turned out well. (Taping the cut lines to prevent splintering is a good tip.) I may use it later this winter to cut the frame on a wrecked Honda motorcycle as we build a static display to run the engine.

This Jigsaw was amazing I was able to cut 4 windows in record time. Dod not have any problems with the blade load as I had read in other reviews.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Jigsaw - Great Value My father gave me a Craftsman jigsaw as a gift about 30 years ago and I've been using it ever since. The old Craftsman was fine in its day, but the head was so loose I had to angle the unit 15-20 degrees in order to cut a straight line, and when cutting circles or turns it was a nightmare. I'm doing some home renovation and couldn't afford messy cuts on trim, so I spent about $75 on this Bosch model. Wow, I didn't know what I've been missing. This unit isn't even a top-of-the-line model and it's solid as a rock. Not only that, no more hex-head set screw to change blades. I couldn't be more satisfied with this jigsaw. If you're a DIY guy who needs a quality jigsaw at a great price, I would recommend this model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap quick release blade chuck, has broken twice. Do not buy this product. The blade chuck is cheap plastic and has broken twice (after being repaired with certified Bosch parts). Subjected to occasional use, I take good care of my tools.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy. Poor design of blade holder. The release ring split and will no longer hold the blade in. I called customer service and was directed to a tool repair store. There was no admission of a faulty design. I have some quality Bosch tools but this one was used once and now doesn't make it out of the bag.
