Answer:
YES. A blue plastic box with a small blade compartment within. The only problem is the cord placement when closing the lid. The box is custom shaped for the Bosch Jig Saw and the new cord is kind of springy...wants to unravel or get caught in the lid when closing it.

Yes a nice small, sturdy blue bosch case with spaces for several bits, guides etc. I really like the case. It appears to be rugged plastic. It is NOT one of the professional, stackable cases.

I'm not sure of the exact numbers, but it feels heavier than a dewalt model I used to own. But the weight definitely makes it easier to control and maneuver.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Again it lives up to Bosch standards. Minimal vibration and excellent cut quaility. It works like a Bosch product is expected to. You will be happy with Bosch. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Choice! Certainly a nice tool for anyone who likes working with their hands. The back body of this jigsaw allows me to easily grip and control it. Far nicer than some jigsaws I've used in the past and I'm sure this tool will last years to come. April 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Took a Chance - Hit a Home Run Knew Bosch's well earned reputation for quality and that is the first thing that led me to their jigsaws. The barrel-grip I was uncertain about. It seemed like an excellent design for control and comfort but I had no experience with it. First time I used it I was truly impressed with the ease and precision of control it has. The natural way you hold the saw and the power it has made every cut accurate and almost effortless. This is a tool I will use often and count on for many years I can tell. May 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy-duty, if heavy... Great saw for the money. This was my first jigsaw purchase in 28 years. Like most woodworkers, I don't use a jigsaw every day, but when I do use it, I want power and maneuverability. This one has both. I bought the saw without seeing or testing it, so when it came I was surprised to see that it is a good bit larger and heavier than I expected. The size and weight were easy to get used to, and now I really like the saw, and would highly recommend it. January 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AWESOME JIG SAW!!! I'm a finish carpenter and needed a barrel grip jig saw to mount a my "coping foot tool" for cutting crowns. The Bosch JS470EB was the recommended jig saw for the Collins Coping Foot. The barrel grip allows you to hold the jig saw upside down with the coping foot and there is no variable speed trigger switch. You want to run it at full speed when doing coping cuts. The blade guide is steady and easy to control. Highly recommend the Bosch Jig Saw. October 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great jigsaw I don't have much to compare this jigsaw with but I like the size, heft and balance of the saw. When I grasp my hand around the head of the jigsaw, the power button lies behind my thumb and therefore not easy to reach without my other hand or sliding my hand back down the barrel of the saw. Not a big deal, but noticeable. I tried using a square as a fence to guide the jigsaw at a ninety across a board several times, and it tended to pull to the left. Maybe I should take the protective plate off the bottom the next time I try this. Overall very pleased with speeds and orbital action. September 4, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 7-Amp Barrel Grip Jig Saw The jig saw works quite well. Admittedly, it might be more suited for those with larger hands. My wife has a hard time being able to control the saw as she isn't able to comfortably wrap her fingers around the barrel. I have read other reviews saying that this saw is quite loud, and while the saw does make a substantial sound, I wouldn't necessarily call it noisy by any means. It doesn't seem to be any louder than other tools in the shop. November 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Makes coping fun I had an old Makita, I like Makita Drills, I wouldn't have any other cordless but with jig saw I'm sold on Bosch. I sill have a 1590EVS but the Collins Coping foot won't work on it. I used a friend's Barrel Grip and now I'm a believer. I love coping. the right tool makes all the difference. Great controll. Plenty of power. November 14, 2014
