Can I get this bit in a 7/64 inch size, and will it work on metal?

These drills are designed/intended for masonry (concrete) drilling. You'll need to get a steel drilling bit, these will NOT work. As far as size, I'm certain that 7/64 are available.

Is this bit compatible with the Condrive 500 installation tool?

I recently purchased this bit because in the Home Depot product overview, it said "For use with tap-con condrive systems". When I tried to attach the condrive tool over the bit, neither end seemed to securely fit. The 3/16 inch side of the condrive tool didn't fit at all. The 1/4 inch side of the condrive tool fit over the bit but didn't snap on, it would fall off if I pointed the drill downward. Is there some additional attachment that is needed, or did I buy the wrong product (bit) for the tap-con condrive system I have have?

Thank you for your question. The Bosch HC2312 is designed for use with masonry fastening systems with hex sleeve drive tools. The hex drive on the bit fits into the driver sleeve. If your installation tool is not 1/4" hex it will not fit properly on this bit.

I was using this bit to attach furring strips to the ceiling in my apartment in order to install drywall. This drill bit made the holes to big and very few of the screws were catching/grabbing the cement. I had to go over the job with a bigger bit and bigger screw to be sure that the furring strips were secure and would not release. Next time, I will know not to use this smaller bit with the smaller screws.

I have a Bosch hammer drill that i purchased for a recent bathroom remodel. I needed to drill a couple of holes in my basement (poured concrete) walls to hang some tools and jigs in my basement shop. The concrete drills that I have were not getting the job done, so I bought the Bosch TC Hex drive drill. It drilled into the wall like a hot knife through butter. It did better than expected.

Great bit for concrete, went through soft mortar like it was hardwood, through stone with a bit of effort. The 'non business' end is designed for Bosch' own hammer drill chuck, but it worked okay in my Milwaukee's Jacob's style. Only used for 8 basement wall mounting holes so far, so, I can't comment on longevity. Still, a tough bit for the bucks.
