I've used similar tools, but thi Bosch Daredevil outpaces the competition. Love the quick install and release of the attachments. It's pretty sturdy, but the first one i bought didn't stand up to an inexperienced user.

Worked very well with a 1/2" spade bit and drilling an 8" deep whole through pressure treated lumber.

Good well made extension. Holds drill bits well when you are withdrawing the bit from the work piece.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DocTheRock Best bit extension I have ever even seen
The quick connect feature and solid steel construction make this bit extension vastly superior to ones that used the old Hex--nut design. It is well made, solid. I will use this with my paddle bits. Well balanced, durable. I have been waiting for this product for years.

I bought three of these to drill through some posts for electric wire, one broke and the other two would not stay clipped onto the bit so I lost the bit about two feet into a cedar post I'll buy Milwaukee next time

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jeremy Poor design so unreliable
The quick disconnect seems at first to be a slick design until you start to actually use it. If wood shavings fall behind the disconnect mechanism, which of course they will, it is hard to disengage the drill bit. This is inconvenient when the bit is extremely hot from just drilling through something. Also, if you do not drill your hole extra large, the bit can become disengaged deep in the hole your drilling, and thus have a stuck drill bit. You need to have at least a 5/8 to really a 3/4 inch hole in order to help prevent this. So, this extension is only useful if you need really wide holes besides deep ones.
What is the deal breaker for me and what makes me wish I could return it is the unreliability of the "quick" disconnect system. It can be too quick or not quick enough.

Drilling down from attic through a wall to install new electrical wire for new switch with 3/4 " spade bit. I actually used 2 of these bits (along with my 18" spade bit, for a total of 36") in order to get through the fire blocks. Worked flawlessly!
