Customer Questions & Answers

So if I want to cut 8" off of a 16' 2"x12" can I do it safely with just this stand or will I need additional supports?

Asked by: Josh
No Bosch, it cannot safely cut the end of a 16 foot board. Who checks this stuff? Can Bosch hire individuals who can still do math? The brochure states it extends 103". Josh has a board that is 16 feet long. He wants to cut off 8 inches. If the specifications state the T4B can extend 103 inches. How much will Josh have unsupported? Show your work. 16 ft board x 12 inches a foot = 192 inch board 192 - 8 = 184 inch board Now comes the issue... For arguement sake, let's say Josh is right handed. That leaves the 184 inch board supported by the length of his miter saw table to the left of the blade and the T4B material extension lift to the left. Retracted length is 51.5 inches. This tells the student that the extensions come out 26 inches to either side. (26 +51.5 + 26= 103) Let's say too, that Josh has the Bosch CM12SD (Josh likes his toys) which Bosch says is 24 inches wide and to keep everything easy, let's round up and say that the table supports 12 inches of board from the edge to blade. We are not concerned with the thickness of Josh's kerf. So we have the right end of the 184 inch board supported for 12 inches from his saw blade and supported at 51.5 inches for the extension slide, leaving how much of the board to the left of the support? 184 - 51.5 = 132.5 inches of material off. The table is part of the 51.5 inch measurement as this is a center measurement. Wait Josh! Don't cut that board! It will tip to the unsupported end which means the end of the board near your head will be forced up! Remember fulcrum Josh??? They have to be supported in the middle to balance equally on both sides. Better get a sawhorse or 3rd hand (because I know you will like it and they are cool tools) and support that far end. or you can use some cutoffs, cinderblocks....

Will my Hitachi C12 RSH fit on this stand?

Asked by: Sobe
This stand is ingenious, it will work with any miter saw as long as you have Holes in the feat of your saw. PERIOD, it has sliding nuts, matching bolts. May not work on trim carpenter saws you pick up with one finger. So good luck and buy with confidence. I absolutely love mine.

Gravity-Rise Miter Saw Stand with Wheels is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 100.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and Convenient I've had this Gravity Rise miter stand for a few months now and let me tell you it well worth it. Being able to move around the job site is no problem and the "gravity rise" makes it easy on the back. Well built and stands up to the abuse I dish out. Definitely worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Miter Stand Ever I'm a carpenter/ general contractor by trade & my Miter saw & stand are one of the most important tools in my lineup Before I bought this Stand I bought a cheaper model (Not a Bosch). At the time I couldn't justify paying that much for a Miter Saw Stand or any stand for that matter. I paid $150 for the cheaper Stand & used it twice before I realized something very profound - the cheap Miter stand was going to cost me a lot of money. Why? It was so unbalanced & difficult to breakdown while my Saw was on it. The entire Stand, Miter & all, fell over 3 times. I should've gotten rid of it the 1st time it happened. It was the worst feeling watching my Miter Saw, my bread & butter, hit the ground. Anyway, I got rid of that Stand right away & went & bought the Bosch Gravity Riser. Amazing Stand. The Stand has a wide stance & is very balanced. I can easily move & maneuver my Stand on a job site by myself with no worries of it tipping over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good buy I bought the GCM 12 GDL a few days ago and I'm very happy with it. The included stand worked but meant I would have to lift the saw on and off, and we all no the saw is not a light weight. So I bit the bullet and shopped around for the GTA 2500 W. It was well packed, and mostly easy to put together. The hard part was the eight (8) bolts that hold the rail to the frame. I was doing it solo in low light, so it took a bit of fiddling and frustration to get them all installed. Anyhow its up and running now, and while it wasn't 'low cost' it was a good buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Over all Great design and ease of operation. If you use a miter saw and don’t have the space for a permanent home for it the T4B Gravity Rise Miter Saw Stand could very well make your life easier. I purchased the T4B to mount my GCM12SD miter saw on. It makes it much easier to maneuver the 64 lb saw without having to lift it. The T4B comes in a surprisingly large box that has a shipping weight of 78-lbs. Despite the size of the box, you have to assemble much of the T4B. The assembly took me about 45 minutes. The one thing not mentioned in the assembly instructions, is to put a bit of lube on the bolts that are to be left loose. This stand is amazingly well designed. It folds and unfolds very easily and smooth. The fit and finish of the T4B is Bosch quality. When folded, it is really compact and maneuverable. When set up, it's extremely sturdy and stable. There is no play in any of the joints once assembled. The out feed supports are well designed, with nice integrated pop-up stops. The construction of mounting bars for the miter saw itself is very nice. You can just attach them to the saw and leave them on, there are a dozen or so miter saws that can easily be used with the T4B. They clamp onto the stand really easily and quickly. If need be, you can take the saw off to transport with the bars attached, they have rubber feet on the bottom surfaces and will not scratch anything. The large solid rubber tires along with how the saw is mounted make moving the T4B with the saw in place very easy even when the terrain is bumpy. With the extension arms fully extended and a long board laying across them the T4B is very stable. Over all great design and money well spent. I’m very pleased with the T4B.

At my age I needed the gravity rise function and to be able to move it around. I always try to buy heavy duty tools and this stand met all my expectation. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the leg, (when it is in the stand-up position) sets directly on the floor, I'll glue a small piece of Rubber on it and WALLA,it will be fine. Also I found it a little time consuming to put together but once done you have a really well built stand.

The assembly process is straightforward but seriously important, the average joe will not be buying this HIGH end TOOL. So grab a beer and enjoy. I used my impact driver with 3/8 bit for most sockets instead of wrenching it. Excellent directions to follow with photos, you will be highly focused at this price point. It is extremely Heavy, then add your SAW, wow! Nevertheless: On the ground and rolling, quick setup NO REGRETS HERE. Used it yesterday on a new deck and held it's own, ROCK SOLID. 4x4's, 2x6's like butter. During cleanup had to roll it around to another area 100' away, piece of cake! NO MORE shaky and unreliable stands, no tipping, the big wheels are great. This is how I make my living 75% of the time on the miter saw, crown molding etc. So spend the extra money, you will thank yourself, now and forever. Guarantee it.

Have used it several times since purchase and woorks well iln all configureations, cut off, angle and bevel. I have a small workshop in my garage and the stand is great for storing the saw. Easy to raise and lower and sure is better way to move than carry the saw as it is over 70lbs and I am not that young now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bosch T4B review I like it! It is a tricky to assemble; the instructions could be better. 8 small bolts for the table is very difficult to get started because of little room for the nuts & washers. The table extension end's leveling is tricky; also the stop for multiple cuts is not level & isn't good. Except for these it is pretty good.
