Answer:
It has a place on the back of the holder for a screw. You have to put a screw in the wall. That's what the instructions tell you to do, but you can tape it to the wall with masking tape, which works better and you don't have to patch a hole in the wall.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The wall holder can be placed onto a screw head slightly projected out of a wall or the wall holder can be mounted to a 1/4" thread tripod.

Answer:
Yes it attaches with adhesive strips that hold it firmly in place and after you are done they remove easily by pulling on them. And there are pins that you can use to attach it to a wall that leave only 2 very tiny holes. There is also a keyhole screw mount too as well as a magnet.

Answer:
Remember this is an indoor laser level and the laser dot is red. I just tested it at 40ft and the dot was clearly visible in normal room lighting. If one were to dim the lights I bet this could easily go 60ft. or more

Line and Point Laser Level is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from bubble is a little hard to see This is a handy little level. Quality is good as you would expect from Bosch. The small size makes easy to carry in pocket or tool belt. My only problem is that the bubble is a little hard to see and you can only see it from one side. The adjustable holder that you mount to the wall works well. I used it the other day for a stair rail. You don't have to use a screw to attach it to the wall like the instructions suggest. It has a flat flange on the top and bottom so you can tape it to the wall with masking tape.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good I think it really is best that you use a tripod for this. The other annoyance was that the line was much shorter than I expected but other than that it is serving its purpose and I like the ease of use and sleek design.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I didn't want to put a screw in my finished drywall in order to use it You have to put a screw in the drywall to hang it in order to use it. Online it says it come with adhesive strips, but the box doesn't indicate so or include any. Otherwise it looks like it would be a good level, just won't work in the most basic application.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from How did I get along without this tool for so long? This is must-have tool for hard-core DIY'ers. The laser level makes picture hanging, curtain rod installation, ceiling tile work and a host of other DIY tasks easier by far. The tool is nicely constructed and easy to use. It comes with a magnetic base that clings to a mount that can be pinned to the wall. Once so mounted, the laser level can be pointed at any angle to create the red laser line along a wall. I recently put up curtain rods in our house after a major renovation that had removed all of the old curtain rods. I measured distance from the floor, put up one rod hanger at the end of a 20 foot run, lined up and leveled the laser level on the first rod hanger and then put up 5 additional hangers along the laser line. The result was perfect. There are places where a conventional level is still a better tool but the more I use the laser level the less I have need for any other level.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't Be Used As A Plum Or Level The level that I received shot 1 3/4" High in 15' with the laser beam and 7 degrees out of plum with the laser line. I always test any new level with a known and trusted instrument, a simple water level in tubing. Since the level is so far out of alignment there is no way to use this unit for its intended purpose. I can't recommend anyone use one of these without checking them before first use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from one dimensional laser level - slightly useful OK - I opened the package and found a small plastic level with tiny bubble levels for 2 dimensions. It also had a stand which magnets held the unit to, so you could level the laser ONLY in ONE direction. That was pretty lame. It has a line laser which shows a line across a floor or wall (horizontally), but if you want to use that same line for a vertical situation (like cutting sheet rock or any wall installation - perhaps a picture frame), you were on your own for leveling the actual device. Also the laser line display, when the unit was on its side (for vertical line display), was actually not a true 90 degrees. So since the stand it came with did not have 2 dimensional leveler screws, you pretty much could not easily use it for anything but a horizontal line. The final punch, was that the line display was only bright enough for about 10 - 15 feet at best. The point laser was good for about 25-35 feet so was ok. the line though was bright in the center, and dim on both ends. I am not real satisfied with this unit, and probably would tell someone to save their money for a decent 2 or 3 dimensional leveling laser line/pointer unit which could be screw adjusted in all directions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bosch Line and Point Laser Level Need a laser to hang my pictures on the stairway going to the 2nd story. Had about 8 pictures to hang and want them to be perfect lined going up the stairs. This made it a lot easier. Once I got the fist picture hung, I aline the beam to the right angle I want them, and just starting hanging the picture. It made it so easy. It has a quick and easy simple set up using quick leveling with bubble vial is easy to get level. All in all I'm happy with the unit.
