can this laser washer be used on either side of the blade - right or left?

Or, would it even be possible to put two of these on the saw, one on each side of the blade to make a "dual" laser line that marks either side of the cut?

Answer:
If the saw has a washer in each side of the blade you most likely could install two lasers, but all my saws have a fixed area that the blade go's against on the drive side of the arbor. The arbor may not be long enough for two lasers to fit.

Answer:
I'm pretty sure it can only be installed on the outside on the 12" Glide Miter saw - the bolt that holds the laser guide and the blade in place is "counter sunk" in the hub of the laser guide - there isn't room on the inside of the blade.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The laser washer can only be placed on the outside of the blade, it replaces the outer blade washer. There is not enough room on the arbor for two laser washers to be installed.

Answer:
Thank you for your question Nolt. The LS010 laser washer is intended to be used with certain Bosch miter saws. Other products may not accommodate the washer set or shield you from laser light source.

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best tool The laser works awesome and is very accurate. If you don't have one, get one. February 1, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by waste side of line it is important to note that the lazer falls on the left of the actual cut. The lazer line is not directly under the blade. You have to make sure that the waste side of your cut is on the right of the work piece because the cut will be on the right of the lazer line. When setting up you will have to move the work while the saw is running in order to get a correct cut. not a big deal but if you clamp your work you have to get the alignment right before you clamp. This all takes time. It is too bad Bosch has not made the UK version of the lazer available since it allows you to bracket the cut line with the two lazer lines. I imagine it is an issue of manufacturing a US version to run on the lower voltage we have here. I notice that Home Depot has discontinued this product. I guess I got one of the last of them. I am now really wondering why I need this. Seems to be a solution without a problem but I have it and will try to learn to use it correctly. March 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A MUST The laser arbor attachment is worth EVERY penny it cost. It is extremely accurate. February 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good product Not a good product. Light is weak and way off the mark. December 8, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great idea; Great construction; But... Love the idea of the laser guide and the price seemed reasonable. The line looked good when I first set up the saw and checked it out in the shop. Most of my work so far has been outside though, and I haven't been able to see the laser line. I've been working the saw for about a month and haven't gone in-depth to see if there's a problem with the laser...but I did make sure there was no gunk on the aperture. Will try to post an update if I resolve the issue. June 15, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Glad I got it, but it takes getting used to Because this laser is mounted on the side of the blade, the line does not line up with the blade edge. This unit is made with the laser line slightly out of parallel with blade, so if you start with the blade raised and bring your mark to the line, as the saw is lowered, the line moves. This is explained in the instructions with the unit. I find the best way to use it is to lower the saw, and align the mark to the line with the saw down. The other thing about this is it is centrifugally actuated, so you have to turn the saw on to see the line. For some work this is OK, if you can bring the blade forward and down without touching the work. If you are working on a very wide or thick piece, you will have to have the saw in the up position, turn it on and move the mark to the line. As noted above, when you then move the saw down, the line will shift, so you have to know how much to offset the mark from the line. Like I said - it takes getting used to. July 10, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Defective product - did not work The laser beam was defective - no beam. I returned it to Home Depot and got a refund. I later bought the same product again from a different store and that one worked. This is the only laser guide that is compatible with the GCM 12SD to there are really no other options. February 29, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Laser This is a good laser with one exception. The laser line is hard to see if you are working outside in the sun. This is probably common to any laser light. January 22, 2013
