Answer This Question
A: Can't answer your question about stock, but the unit worked well for me. I mixed heavy cement to do two bathroom walls and floors. The unit smoked a little under heavy load and I'm talking very heavy load. So the Reconditioned worked well in my case. Would recommend.

A: Bought this drill last year and used it with no issues for dock construction project. Good compromise of rugged vs weight. Chuck worked fine. Drilled thousands of pilot holes followed by 3 inch square drive stainless deck screws into PT 2x6. Mine uses standard household 110V US voltage. Not sure on 220V.
A: Yes, a perfectly good case or box. It's a fantastic tool.

When I picked up this hammer drill from Home Depot, it looked new all over--good sign--and I was not disappointed. I've done a lot of drilling in ceramic tile with a standard corded Makita drill--a perfectly good drill. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Bosch Hammer drill attacked the tile sort of like a beast that was hard to restrain. The Bosch has way more power--variable speed, and selectable drilling modes: drill vs hammer. What I liked most about the Bosch was the infinitely variable chuck: the chuck will accept any size bit--be it ¼, 3/8, or ½ bit, and the chuck is manually cinched with a chuck key--my preference. I understand contractors need speed. I prefer the precision of a manual-tightened chuck that can accept any size bit in my tool box so I don't have to stop and buy all new bits. So, I was able to finish my shower grab bar job in much faster time than using my standard corded drill alone. The 12-inch grab bar was drilled with six 3/16 inch holes into the tile and the studs. The 36-inch grab bar was drilled with four ¾ inch holes for Wingit anchors. Both grab bars are securely fastened to the tiled wall. Thank you Bosch!

Amazing tool. Honestly, it's really hard to tell it's not brand new and you get to save $30. Cuts through brick like nothing. Hammer mode is pretty loud so maybe use ear plugs. Was tired of struggling with drilling holes in brick with my cordless drill so this solves that problem

Needed to drill into brick, this reconditioned drill did the job.
This reconditioned tool looked like a new drill. Easily drilled through brick, completed my little project and now I still have this very good 1/2" corded drill. This reconditioned tool is a very good buy.
