Have roofed20+ houses with a Bostich gun. Never had an issue. Have rebuilt a couple for other people that did not maintain them correctly. Easy to get parts if needed. Needed another one for a big job.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dan Addressing the "Double Nail" Issue
I am a Home Depot associate working in the Tool Rental Center. We rent out this nailer and it is a very reliable and well-made tool, expected from a brand such as Bostitch. Some people have had issues with a double nail output from the nailer, the most common correction is to make sure your compressors pressure is correct and sufficient to make the nail feed and fire successfully every shot. Regular maintenance with oil in the fitting and so on will do wonders and make it last a long time. Worth the money and a good choice if you plan on using it commercially.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by StanB Powerful gun. Easy to use.
I would reccomend this gun. We are a full service construction company that does not do a lot of roofs. We did a house of cement board siding and a garage roof. Not one jam up after two boxes of nails.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by GC Worst I have experienced.
I set every thing up just like the directions said, did a few practice hits to make sure every thing was good. When I went to the job site started off ok but by the 10th nail I had my first double nail and it went down hill from their. On the 13th and 15th 16th, again double nail's. 20th nail was a complete jamb. 23rd nail I gave up it also jammed still in the gun. Im returning the gun today to try another brand.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by arsmusic Works great
I purchased this gun the re-roof my house. This was the fist time I have done shingles or extensive roofing before. The gun worked great for the job. It never misfired once. The trigger that comes with the gun is a rapid fire trigger. This is great if you are a fast roofer. Since this was my house I wanted to take my time and line up every shingle perfect then fire the nails. Every so often with the rapid fire trigger the gun recoils and shoots a second nail. If you call Bostitch they will send you a single fire trigger for free. It takes 2 seconds to install it. It is a different color so you know which one it is.
When I went to HD and I wanted to buy a Hitachi gun but they were out of stock. So, I purchased this one. I am glad I did. They were about the same price. Hitachi charges for the single fire trigger. Something ridiculous like $120 for it or so.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nobody A better choice for the professional.
I am doing my own roof and all the reviews supported this product as a top choice. I can't deny that but the RN 46 1 does not have true sequential nailing so for someone who would do better with more control, I decided to exchange it after a few nails- the better choice for me would have been the RN 46 2 which is sequential. I would recommend that for any do it yourselfer. It does have more power than the Ridgid I exchangd it for. Home Depot was excellent during these transactions, I must say, If I had it to do over, I would still go with the Bostitch over the Ridgid but get the RN 2.
