Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWSOME NAILER! Yet another tool purchased by the Bostitch Industrial Tools Company, I haad bought this tool one year after christmas and i had read several reviews about it online and this particular site. I had got this tool out of the box and instantly loved the durability and ease of use. As soon as i used it for the first time I knew that it was the good tool. This tool is clearly supperior to my DeWalt finish nailer. What I was realy happy about is that it has 15 Gauge nails, these nails are less likley to folow grain and split out ends of wood. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bostitch angled finish nailer Yet another tool purchased as the next move into the beginnings of a wood-working hobby, I got this in a kit with Bostitch's brad nailer. I've had this nailer about 6 months and used it to build around 4 full projects. Used in conjunction with a Craftsman compressor, I have had enough experience with it to know what to expect. Strengths: 1. Plenty of power. Can drive 2 1/2" finish nails completely through 2x2 and 2x4s with no exposed nail heads. 2. Extremly easy to load/reload/unload. The loading mechanism is very easy to use and hasn't jammed once. Works very fluidly and without catching. Is easy to unload remnants of nail strips when trying to clear the nailer of fasteners. 3. Light and proportionate. Not excessively heavy, nor is it awkward to yield when a hose is attached. I've used a couple other nailers of this size that were uncomfortable to maneuver with a hose attached. Weaknesses: 1. Have to use bostitch nail strips. Requires that you purchase bostitch brand nail strips. While not necessarily more expensive or less quality, occasionally you might find yourself in need of more nails and in a place that doesn't necessarily have bostitch brand nail strips. 2. No pivoting air vent. Unlike the brad nailer that came in the kit, this angled finish nailer does not have the ability to adjust the direction of which the exhaust air escapes the tool. This sometimes becomes frustrating when you're concentrating on where the gun is about to shoot a nail and get a sharp burst of air straight up your nose. On the brad nailer however, you can rotate the exhaust cap to point the air away from you. 3. Safety catch. Occasionally if you do not quickly place the impact head onto the surface with a bit of force, but slowly and carefully place the head onto the surface as to place it very precisely, the nailer will not fire. It seems as though it expects a quick push onto the surface to disengage the safety that allows the gun to fire. Conclusion: Definite recommended buy for those getting into wood-working or needing a good nailer for starting/finishing that home improvement project. I use a craftsman 3 gallon, 1.5 hp, 125 PSI compressor and it runs this gun effortlessly. You can rattle off nearly an entire strip before the compressor needs to recharge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MOST EXCITING TOOL I HAVE PURCHASED IN A WHILE Fantastically engineered every detail is well thought out. Flawless operation no jams yet. Has integrated blow gun feature, it sharpens pencils, lights your way, requires no oil, looks great, well balanced, light weight, swivel air line connector, easiest to open to clear jams(have not had to do it for real yet). Has tips that fit in grooves of trim to align your fasteners. Its the MacGyver multi-tool of nail guns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right I'm one of those people that reads every review and evaluates specs until I've exhausted every possible bit of help to make a decision. I purchased the gun to assemble an outdoor pet enclosure and it was excellent. The gun performed just like the reviews reported. It was light weight and never jammed. The gun is slightly bigger than the Hitachi, but Bostitch seems to add the potential for more power in their nailers. The smaller features are nice, but the performance is spot on. I will say that I have the 18ga Hitachi nailer, and the Hitachi NR83 Framing nailer, but Bostitch just made a better product on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, plenty of power, doesn't jam, well designed Bought this nailer because I like Bostitch products and because others gave it good reviews. I can buy the Bostitch nails I need right at the corner hardware store. This was my first pneumatic nailer, purchased to install 2400 linear feet of V-Match pine boards in our cabin in the woods. The little light came in handy in some dark corners and it was easy to aim the gun accurately to shoot through the tongue on the board without splitting it. Shot over 700 two inch nails so far with no jams. The adjustment for nail penetration was easy to use and proved to be quite handy. I used it for three days straight and never got tired of the using it as it is very lightweight. The belt holder was nice too, especially since it rotates but locks in position. Powered through knots and have no doubt it can handle up to 2.5" nails like it says.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to find replacement nails I've had this nailer for several years now and used it primarily for interior trim projects with no complaints. I am currently working on an exterior project using a lot of cedar and treated trim work. My preference would be a stainless steel fastener. So far I have had no luck finding a store that stocks a stainless steel fastener for this type of gun. There are plenty of options to buy for a DA style angled nailer but the Bostitch is an FN style nailer The difference between the FN and the DA nailers is the angle of the loader. It appears the FN style, which is a 25 degree angle is not a common style so retailers don't stock the stainless fasteners. After much searching locally and online, I was able to order them online thru Amazon. Definitely a big inconvenience. I would not have purchased this nailer had I known it was going to be such a hassle to buy nails for it.
