I bought my Bostitch BT1855 brad nailer one year ago, used it on approximately 5 projects and all of the sudden got my first brad jam. I was even using Bostitch 18 gauge brads. Unfortunately the brad and piston get wedged together in the nose/tip, with no real way of pulling out the jammed brad (despite what the instruction booklet shows). Getting out the jammed brad basically mars the nose/tip and milled channel. I thought since Bostitch primarily made pneumatic nailers that I was buying a high quality tool, but this is not the case at all. This thing is a piece of junk. I will call the manufacturer tomorrow, but they will probably try to get me to pay for the repairs...on a basically brand new tool!

Constantly jams. I've had to clear it so often the allen wrench that came with it it worn out. Worst tool purchase I've ever made.

I am a professional, so when I buy a tool my purchase is mostly on quality, and least on price. In addition, I also take care of my tools. I have had two of these nailers fail on me, and both with minimal use. In addition, I have had a Bostitch finish nailer fail as well. So guess what, I am no longer going to buy Bostitch products.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Erik inexpensive, broke after 4 small projects
I got this as a gift (bought in the store) as my first pneumatic nailer, and I loved it. I was able to build a couple cabinet drawers that needed replacing, and put up some cabinet crown molding. It truly made a 2-person job a 1-person job.
After owning it for about a year and using it for the three above-mentioned projects, it died. I'm assuming an o-ring blew out near the trigger based on the symptoms and the troubleshooting guide. I returned it to Home Depot and found it isn't carried in the store anymore, and the customer service associate couldn't find any SKU.
Despite this, I was given an exchange credit to buy a different nailer, so I bought the DeWalt 18ga one.
When this Bostitch worked, it worked reasonably well, however the plastic covered tip was large enough that it was difficult to get into the little parts of the crown molding and made nailing it difficult. I wouldn't recommend this nailer because mine lasted for only a few jobs, nor would I recommend it for any actual detail work because of the large tip.

When I first purchased this product I really liked it...that was until just about every other nail would get jammed I and in would have to disassemble everything to unjam it. I would not recommend this product.

I am a professional carpenter. We have tried and tried to use these and they have all broken within the first box of nails. We don't abuse our tools and can't seem to keep one of these things going. I guess I will have to switch brands and hope for better.
We do have 6 of these and all have had the same problem. Worst part is Bostitch claims the driver is a serviceable part. (as in the same as a filter or something expected to need replacement) This means they will not return or replace them they charge you to fix them.

I just bought this and with in the first day of a major project the thing jams, have to take the head off to get the brad out and no sooner did I get it all but back together the thing jams again. I have better luck with a $30.00 nailer then this $70.00 + gun. I'm going back to my Paslode

Stay as far away from this product as possible. They provided an alleged 7 year warranty but service is horrific and the tool will spend the entire 7 years in repair. Will never buy a Bostich product again.
