I have been using these guns for over 18 years. I run a flooring business we have tried many brands of guns but none have seemed to last as long or fire staples as powerful or fast as bostitch. As for people who say that they don't last long just don't rebuild them correctly. I used white lithium grease on my last 3 I rebuilt an we got well over 2 years out of them an that's using them on at least 2 installs a week. we run 2 crews so we pound out some footage. I would recommend these guns to anyone doesn't matter if your a d.i.y who wants to put in your own living room or a professional making a living doing flooring. Great Great gun.

We have two totes full of these things, and have to bring them both whenever we install a new gym floor. Why? Quite a few leak, the magazine slides are finicky (after a few floors use), the o-rings don't typically last for more than 7000 square feet (elementary/auxiliary gym average size), and when they jam (which doesn't happen until the o-ring is compromised) it's not any easy task to take it apart to get to the staple.
On another note, they're great flooring nailers, but maintenance wise, they just end up costing more in the end. If you do residential flooring or will install your own floor, this will be perfect for you. If you want a flooring nailer with zero issues down the road, check out Powernail. We have rarely had to send them in for maintenance. Which is a huge plus when you have to nail in more than 15,000 square feet in a week.
So all in all, Bostitch makes good guns, but if you want a tank of a flooring nailer (not to mention an absolute delight to use), spend the extra on Powernail so you don't end up with a tote graveyard of flooring nailers.

I have owned this stapler for several months now and it was well worth the purchase! I have put down 3/4 solid hickory floor in my house with no problem and for what I would have spent renting the nailer over and over again to use this with my schedule it was definitely worth the money. To me there really is no negative, this tool is easy to use, practically no maintenance and quick.

I bought this stapler in December of 2006. I have already completed 5 jobs with this stapler. All that I can say is this is by far a phenomenal stapler. I believe the staples hold stronger then cleats, but I guess it just depends what you like.
Hands down if you want a superior industrial stapler you have to pick this up.

I prefer the bostitch stapler with the while using cleats as a setup rather then the staples. cleates are more durable and penetrate the harder exotic woods alot easier with less problems. just an all around better product over the staples.

I'm in the hardwood business. And this is my Buddy. If the Oscars were given for the hardwood tools.. This is the winner (best actor?). Worth every penny. Thanks to the inventor thanks to Home Depot.

I recently rented this product from Home Depot to install hardwood floors in my home. Service was excellent. The product was fast, efficient and easy to use. I will likely be purchasing this product in the near future.
