I do not know for sure, but can't see why one would want to do this on this model. This model does not need more smoke; it does great with rotating a new wood puck every 20 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have been using an off-set wood & charcoal smoker for 10 years. I picked up the Bradley only a... I have been using an off-set wood & charcoal smoker for 10 years. I picked up the Bradley only as an experiment to see how this wood pellet electric smoker would work. I have run a couple pork roast through it and it has performed perfectly. Actually way too easy. I think you can ease off the pellets towards the end of the smoke. Basically after 4 hours of smoking you could cut the pellet use in half or less. Pro or novice you will find this a wonderful smoker. And so easy to prep, use, and store in the garage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes the hassle out of smoking. The Bradley smoker works great as far as getting a consistent smoke. I like that it periodically feeds the pucks into the smoker box so there is no need to open the door and loose heat/smoke. However you will need to open the door to discard the burnt pucks that get extinguished in the water bowl in the bottom of the unit after some hours of smoking. I also suggest you purchase a thermometer that monitors the internal temperature along with the meat temperature. The will help you from opening the door when it is not necessary. Cleanup of the unit is very easy and it can be stored indoors or outdoors (with a cover) once it has cooled. The only other thing I do not like is the availability and cost of the pucks. I bought a larger box online than they sell in the stores. This helped cut the costs a little. However, the pucks are what allow you to get the consistent smoke. That's the price you pay for not sitting right next to the smoker all day.

I really like this smoker, because it does what it claims. The temperature is easily maintained, I like the briquette feeder, and it smokes! The only thing that would make this better is if there were a glass door to see meat thermometer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad from the start Temperature is very inconsistent. It can heat up to 260 in 15 minutes or it might take an hour. Once it reaches temp I add my meat and it will never get back to desired temp. I've used it 5 times and now the burner for the chips doesn't work. I called Bradley for advice and very disappointed with their customer service. Returning to Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this smoker So far I've done Pastrami, cheese and Turkey breast in the smoker. All have come out fantastic. I thought using an electric was cheating, but it is so easy and you only use it for the amount of time needed. When I used to smoke with my side box grill, you would have coals and wood that would burn for many hours after, or need to be dumped in water. With this smoker, just put in 3 bisquettes per hour and when they are burnt you are done. The only drawback so far is that the local stores do not carry the bisquettes, hopefully enough smokers will be sold they will start stocking them. It would also be nice if Bradley could supply at least the 3 bisquettes needed for seasoning the unit (of course more would be better). In short make sure you buy the bisquettes along with the smoker, and a cover (I purchased a 48 pack of Hickory and the cover at the time of purchase). One other thing, the heating element is only 500 watts, so it does take a while to get up to temp. And if you open the door, it takes a while to get back up to temp. So, make sure you preheat and try not to open the unit too often while cooking.

I've smoked a couple of different meals, and both turned out great. A friend of mine that that owns his own smoker commented on how much he liked the chip feeder. His doesn't have one and he has to constantly check and mess with the fire to get the desired temperature. Sucks to be him.

The auto-feed system for the bisquettes (wood pucks instead of the traditional wood chips) is efficient and not messy.
