Product Overview

BrassCraft 1/2 in. nominal sweat inlet x 3/8 in. O.D. compression outlet 1/4-turn angle ball valve controls water flow to household plumbing fixtures - faucets, toilets, dishwashers, icemakers, washing machines, etc. The angle valve is most often used where the water pipe enters the room from the wall. With a quarter turn of the valve handle, you are able to stop the flow of water leading to the plumbing fixture, allowing for maintenance and repair without shutting off the water to the entire home. BrassCraft's KT series stops feature high performance seats uniquely designed for corrosion resistance and a watertight seal. Precision - machined brass ball mated with PTFE seats assure ease of use, even after long periods of time. Blow-out proof, plated stem is assembled from the inside with double o-rings to help ensure safe, reliable performance. 100% leak tested to ensure reliable, leak-free operation.

I only need two (2) for my project.
I would like to use the SharkBite valve but there is an old multi-turn sweat valve and when it is removed, I may not be able to "clean" it suffiently to use the SharkBite. I also may not have enough CU pipe to cut the sweat and have the 1in necessary for the SharkBite.
Thank You,
M. Reaves

To install a new sweat valve, you first need to remove the old multi-turn sweat valve using heat to melt the solder. Do not cut the tube. You can then sweat (solder) the above selected valve.
