Answer: 
Thank you Miami for the question. PEX risers require a plastic compression sleeve for installation and are included with the product sold by BrassCraft and homedepot.com. Brass compression sleeves (ferrule) are for use with copper risers and 1/2-in OD PEX tubing. When connecting the riser to a faucet, we suggest following that specific faucet manufacturer’s installation instructions. In general, when it comes to connecting a PEX riser to the faucet, hand-tighten the nut. Using a tool could break nut causing water leakage.
