Product Overview

BrassCraft’s ProCoat stainless steel gas connector is engineered with added safety in mind. The proprietary polymer coating is designed to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh household chemicals, UV rays and salt. ProCoat is applied to the corrugated stainless steel connector using advanced powder-coat technology. Unlike conventional dipped or sprayed coatings, the ProCoat coating is baked directly onto the connector surface at high temperatures to provide a uniform coating over the entire length of the connector. The coating is applied only after the connector has been 100% leak tested, prior to nut and fitting assembly. This process results in the most complete corrosion resistance available.

  • 3/8 in. I.D. (1/2 in. O.D.) corrugated stainless steel with corrosion resistant coating
  • Steel fittings included: 1/2 in. FIP and 1/2 in. MIP (tapped 3/8 in. FIP)
  • ProCoat coating corrosion resistant to harsh chemicals as well as UV rays and salt
  • Use with natural and LP (propane) gases
  • 100% leak tested
  • Approved for indoor and outdoor use
  • Temperature rating: -40° to 150° F
  • Pressure rating: 1/2 psi maximum
  • Designed, machined and assembled in the USA
  • CSA certified

Can i run this pipe underground? Not to deep around 12 inches. Pipe will be placed between gravel

Asked by: mike
NO!! Do not put this underground. Use black iron pipe or a wrapped black iron pipe. I think there pvp pipes designed for gas. Also use only teflon tape designed for gas. Its yellow not white. There is a differance

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile high quality gas line I used this line on my gas dryer It flexes easily but still remains sturdy. There is no "whistling" sound from the line which can be common with other lines. The package came with all necessary adaptors. Do not let the double male fitting fool you. There is a female 3/8 threaded connection INSIDE the 1/2 threaded male side that you screw onto your 3/8 inch appliance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fittings! I bought this item to replace one that was leaking. My appliance is very old and I was concerned that the fittings would not work with the old pipes. I had no trouble with the connections and I am very happy with the results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! When I replaced my hot water heater, I replaced the old iron gas pipe too and replaced it with this little gem. It's so much easier than the old way. Just use the yellow tape on the male fittings and you'll have years of worry free use.
