Customer Reviews

24 HP Pro Series V-Twin Vertical Gas Engine is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 594.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from gas leaking into oil!!! The gas on so many of their engines gas leaks into the oil!!!!. There is a problem with the solenoid, the gas pump, or the needle, or all three. Have fun wasting time, and or money on some thing that was a problem 7 Years ago and still exists. If you aren't handy just add on 200$ to keep this machine running in the first year alone. And then if you write a review and accidentally leave any adblocking on your review will get deleted and you will have to rewrite it. DISABLE ADBLOCKERS TO LEAVE A REVIEW? HOW RIDICULOUS! I am banning any new purchase of any product with a B&E engine. And your weedeater engines arent better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable example of Briggs and Stratton value My wife's favorite , a 1971 Gilson S14 riding tractor has always had a B&S one cylinder cast iron engine. The current 16HP engine is more than 20 years old and runs great. Since then, B&S engineers have worked tirelessly to achieve continuously-improved engines with advanced features. Briggs and Stratton: where engines and people are all great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from what,s with blown head gaskets & bent push rods I bought a puolon pro Garden tractor 54 B7S 26 HP 5 blown head gaskets 4 bent push rods I am ASE cert. Bad design I do belive 3/8 studs & poly locks for rocker arms & a little more deck .250 or more between lifters & combustion chamber would increase engine life Works on my Home built 355 Chevy engine stud heads Crane gold rockers AFR 215 heads never blown head gaskets arp studs built 12 years ago still strong

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pre-Delivery I bought a new Snapper rear-engine riding mower on-line that was shipped in a crate to my house. I followed the instructions and when it came to checking the oil, it had oil on the bottom of the dipstick but below the full level. I didn't want to overfill it before checking it warmed up as you're usually advised to check the oil level when the engine is warm. I started it and it ran about 45 seconds before stopping. After not being able to get it started, I sent it in the an authorized dealer that advised me the engine had seized because it was so low on oil. They were able to get it loose and flushed it several times and advised me they didn't think it would last long. I can't understand why you would put any oil at all in the engine without putting in enough to run the engine.
