Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the Price.. I just purchased a Toy Hauler, and wanted something big enough to run 2 full size Trailers back to back running everything including the air on both trailers when you need it! Does the job big time, a little noisy, but if you get out 2-40ft extension cords or 80 ft total to fit the 240/30amp outlet, you wont even notice it running..Just chain down to a tree and leave it.lol September 20, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by This new generator was unable to start due to a defective safety feature in the fuel system. The electric fuel safety shut-off was defective and would not allow the generator to start or run. There was a disconnected wire to the starter that would not allow the generator to start or run. There were three bolts less than finger-tight that would have damaged the generator had I not found and tightened them. I spent the extra money to buy a quality American brand and keep the jobs here at home. I am very disappointed with this generator [which is still in the shop being repaired] and the quality control at Briggs. Lot of money for a product with multiple problems right out of the box. I am hoping that it will last for years without any more drama, but don't have a good feeling with my purchase any longer. I won't be buying any more Briggs products. November 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very happy with with my B&S 7500 Elite Series I bought the B&S 7500 Elite Series after reading a very favorable review from Consumer Reports and have not been disappointed. The assembly of the Generator was simple and the operator instructions are easy to follow. I bought the generator just in time, as we lost power the next day for 3 hrs. The generator performed perfectly. August 11, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Reliable I use this for emergency power in my residence. I make sure to start is twice a year and put a load on the output. It starts with a touch of the key and is much quieter than friend's emergency generators. I am very happy with this unit. August 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use I bought this last year after Sandy hit us. Fortunately, I never had to use it since I bought it. I did, however, start it up a few times using the built-in automatic starter. Worked like a charm. Pull the choke out slightly, hit the starter button and BINGO, it started right up each time. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Starts immediately... but loud Ok - reviewed every 6K to 10K portable I could find out there - came down to one thing... the "brand" Briggs & Stratton. I know, I know... it's made in China - but would guess it's all designed here in the USA, a lot like Apple Computer. All designed in USA, CA... but made in China. Overall this thing is a beast... it really puts out. It's heavy... so be prepared to not want to move it too much. When I want to start it ... turn the key... in 2 cycles this thing runs... every time. Seems to be extremely reliable which is what I wanted. PROS: Reliable... starts every time in under 5 seconds Parts: I'm assuming parts are easy to get for a B&S generator Easy: There is nothing too this CONS: Loud: they really need to do something about this... maybe sell and "add on" that muffles it more. Trust me, everyone would buy it Heavy: Yep... this is a beast... but very well designed handle and really very easy to move - but heavy Recommendation: 4 Stars - I give it 4 stars out of 5. If they got rid of the noise and added a "fix it at home" manual with it... it would be 5 out of 5. - I would recommend this over any others. It's easily bought at a Home Depot - where I got mine... you will need a truck to get it home and some strong gents to get it to the ground to assemble (easy... good instructions) - I looked at a diesel generator... the problem is what do I do with the diesel fuel after 6 months to a year when I need to "refresh". I didn't own a diesel truck or anything like that... so gasoline is my natural choice... recycle old fuel into my car... gets some fresh gas and store for another 6 months. Addendum Also - I did a lot of research on how to add an outside electrical line into to my electrical box... it's really very easy - but it's not really advertised anywhere - so you have to research how to. On YouTube you see a lot - I installed my 30 amp line in a day so now all i do is move my generator outside, turn the key, and I have the power I need going into my house... it works and you can do it too November 4, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Backup portable generator. Bought 12-21-13 during ice storm just in case. bought cord and ends to plug in to outlet for ease all you have to do is make sure to turn off back feed to power company and it will run almost everything in your house except electric heaters or electric dryers it runs my whole house since we use natural gas for heating. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The generator fired up right out of box and runs very well the unit has worked to our site needs and expactations. It was great to have the generator in stock as it was needed immediatly as a replacement. Runs much more efficient than other brands that are on our site. January 16, 2014
