Rated 1 out of 5 by Big Red Joke Purchased March 2014. Igniter stopped working July 2014. There are two heat tents (flavor vaporizer) under the grate that are supported at each end with a small metal support that appears to be welded to the firebox and one has broken off. The grill gets hot enough for indirect grilling but not by much. There is no "STOP" for the once you open the lid, you must hang onto it until it comes to rest on what ever is behind it even though your arms are holding the handle over the burning grill..... You call Brinkman for service and an automated system takes your number with the statement that you will be called luck after two attempts and 2 weeks. I called local Home Depot on West Colonial Drive in Orlando and the Service Desk transferred me to a guy in the Garden Center that was nice but has no authority. The guy told me to bring it in and they will send it off as they cannot repair it. The guy also said I could ask the Service Desk and I told him that they referred me to him. When I asked him if it was better to just throw it out he related that they have grills going on sale for Labor Day. I expected to replace this after 2 years of use....not 5 months. August 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple and easy to use! I had a 4 burner Charbroil that in hind sight seems to have been manufactured to go right into discount stores. It lasted less than 2 years before it disintegrated into a pile of rust. This two burner Brinkmann meets my needs, seems to be sturdy, came assembled and is a good price. My sister-in-law saw it and now wants the same one for herself! October 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good BBQ so far The gas regulator went bad on my old Char-Broil BBQ and since it was not a universal part that could be replaced, I ended up buying Brinkmann Red 2-Burner Gas Grill. Since I live in a condo, the size was perfect for me. Consumer Reports in their June 2013 issue rated this grill 29 out of 60. Not bad for a $130 grill. As far as cooking, I'm still getting use to this grill since I've had it only 3 weeks but so far burgers and corn have cooked evenly on it. July 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Having a ball with my new BBQ. Got this a couple of weeks ago and glad I did. It's got all that the average BBQer needs, including the side burner. Being a MacGuyver-type I had to tweek it a bit to suit my tastes and location (see pics). The tank's holder was the 1st to go as the tank can sit on the deck. That freed the inner space for my tweeking. Got 2 - 5/16" threaded rods and put them thru the holes (you'll have to enlarge the holes slightly), secured them with 5/16" nuts, added a shelf on the left that sits atop the extended rods, and made from scrap wood & some ceramic tile, plus an aluminum drip pan inside (I tossed their drip cup). Also, the right-side "wing" can hang upside down to save space. August 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to assemble, cooks great. Very easy to assemble, except that I had to remove a part already installed to elongate two holes which did not align with the related female thread inserts. Lights easily, nice blue flames, cooks pretty evenly. + Good instructions. + Parts labeled. + Most of the small hardware is on a perforated card (great idea). + Fairly even heat across the cooking area. - Had to remove firebox (after initial fitting) to elongate two holes to install screws (original holes were incorrectly located, making threading the screws impossible). - Even after tightening all screws, frame not particularly rigid. Given that this is an economy model, that's probably acceptable. March 23, 2014
