I have been looking for a drop in grill at this price for a long time. I never wanted to spend $$$$ on a drop in, so I always procrastinated on the outdoor kitchen. I purchased the grill and finished the outdoor kitchen. It works great, no complaints.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Mark Horrible product and customer service
This BBQ came in the mail bent up in the rear, The lip which was very thin and cheezy showed the weld was broken and had no igniter. COntacted Brinkman-horrible customer service. They said they would sent out replacement parts--i got another lid with wrong logo and no parts to replace the bent up frame. Called them--had to take more photos, emailed them called them-waited 5 days nothing-called back and they said we dont see anything was done--all info given to the engineers-they will get back to you. Horrible

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 A number of screws were loose, the electronic igniter did not work.
A number of screws were loose, the electronic igniter did not work and worse yet they used carbon steel welding wire on the hinges. This caused it to drip rust in the hinge area after the first rain!!!!. The igniter did not work so I had to pull the one from old grill and install it. The burners do give a great amount of heat and we'll see how it cooks today. I don't think I would buy again without seeing the product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Flusion Overall Quality is good but a few items could be better engineered
Overall the quality of the grill is good. Cooking has been a pleasure and the grill heats evenly. I only cook for two and it's not necessary to light all the burners to cook just a few patties or a steak. Fit and finish of the product was great. You can't beat what you get at this price point.
A couple of things could be engineered better. The grill is held in place by weight alone. The side and back rails do not have a mechanism to bolt it to the BBQ top. The grill is heavy enough that it stays put but aggressive cleaning of the grill surface or a heavy hand opening the hood makes it move a little. I would also would have liked the hinge part of the hood to be a little thicker stainless steel. It is a little flimsy and only time will tell how long the hood hinge lasts.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DoubleDoe7 For Previous Charmglow Version with Side & Sear Burners - Natural Gas
I purchased this about 3.5 years ago, yes that long ago. It was a return model and a closeout as well so I got a most amazing deal, essentially 75% off. Along with the side and sear burners.
Well they sat in storage for this long and finally I could afford to put them in. There were a couple things that seemed to be an issue as for packaging and some loose screws/bumpers/trim floating around in the box, but I didn't know if this was from the returnee or Brinkmann. In general all seemed fine and it fit right in the spot I built for it. Only minor thing is that With this it came ready for NG, but they only provide one "Y" so you can only hook up one accessory to the same line id: Pot OR Sear burner, so I had to get an extra quick disconnect hose for the Sear and run it separatley.
First time was the Charm (heh) and all lit right up. I'm not used to grilling on a grill with the heat shields so first thing I noticed is that it cooked slower even at high heat than my cheapie charbroil with the stainless burner. I don't know if I would call it even cooking though.
As with any grill in my experience there are different spots on the grids that cook hotter and cooler, with this grill I notice the burner starts about 4" or so in from the front edge of the stainless grills. So my experience is that is a lot cooler at the front and hotter toward the rear, not a bad thing, just need to get used to it.
I've done all sorts of things on this in the month I've had it running. 20 minutes after hooking up the gas I was grilling steaks and chicken. I started these on the SEAR BURNER which did it's job quite well, and again after moving all onto the grill It took a bit longer than I'm used to to cook fully through, that is not a bad thing as it was not dried out like on the other grill I had.
I've cooked a pork loin indirectly which turned out great and I also have used a griddle for bacon and pancakes plus a pizza stone for, yes pizza, and calzones. Which I found for pizza to par cook the crust then top it and finish it, for calzones I use indirect cooking on High for 10min or so then put the direct burners on low for the remainder of the time.
Is HOT, even on low, baked beans will boil so you have to watch it, but I used it for making a pot of chili.
Is HOT, as it should be, I've used for steaks but in conjunction with the chili above I used it to char (roast) up some peppers, red, yellow and poblano. It worked so great for this. Better than my oven or even a regular open flame. Made for much easier peeling of the skin and a good flavor with out the peppers being too mushy.
WRAPPING IT UP
I noticed with some others that the rain will trickle down into the drain pan on the side burner and the drip tray seems almost useless on the grill as the bottom inside is all that seems to be catching all the drippings and extras as the tray is covered. I suppose if there is a big drippy greasy mess your cooking it would be enough to eventually run down and under the shield on the bottom and into the pan, but I've yet to experience it.
I really do like it, It looks good, almost impressive for the dollar especially, cooks well and will hold up I'm guessing with it's cast brass burners and stainless grills and outer construction. For my super deal I could give it 5 stars but in general it's more like 4 at the current price. But that could still be argued.
Just a wire brush on the grates, haven't need to clean the bottom yet, but Isuspect for ease of cleaning I will need to pull the burners in the grill, which is pretty simple.
I use diluted Simple Green to degrease the outside and then use the Zep stainless "cleaner" and polish which is an oil based item. I use it sparingly and rub it in and it doesn't seem greasy at all, mainly its good to shine up the stainless not clean it. Both products I got at The HD.

outstanding grill for the price. built a custom grill island, outdoor kitchen. Works just as good as the "high end" grills that are 5 times the price.

Relatively easy to assemble and up and running in an hour or less. I have only used it three times so it's hard to say how reliable it is. I've had many other grills and this is made well. It started the first attempt which was nice.
