I purchased the smoker as a Valentine's gift for my husband along with a book of smoker recipes. He got right into it, creating meat injector, rub, glazes, etc., and prepared the wood chips the night before. Smoker works like a dream cooking both pork and chicken. Lots of friends showing up to see what we are doing and they all agree the meat is delicious cooked in this smoker!
Assembly of the smoker was easy. Pulling pans in and out of the smoker while it's hot was fairly easy to do. Size is perfect for aluminum pans to fit.
One drawback, the thermometer that came with the smoker does not seem accurate so we purchased a digital thermometer with remote that measures both the temperature of the smoker and the temp of the meat.
Otherwise, great product!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by MikHalifax Fantastic smoker, great value
This is my first smoker, received it in 2010 for Christmas, this has been a fantastic addition to my outdoor cooking repetoire.
Has lots of room, I've smoked at 13lb turkey and it turned out amazing.
Do what others have mentioned, get a good wireless thermometer as the built in is not accurate.
My only wish is that it had more racks included. It came with three, but when I'm smoking jerky, I'd like a couple more. Easily purchased from Brinkmann's site.

If you want to be able to make pulled pork BBQ like the pros, buy this smoker. It is as easy as putting the butt or picnic ( I have done 3 at a time) on the rack(s). Filling the pan up with water. Adding chunk of hickory to the smoke pan. Fire up the burner on low. Cook for 1 hour per pound of meat. Add water as necessary, add wood chunks as necessary. Here is a secret, when you take the butt or picnic off the smoker, wrap in double layer of aluminum foil and let rest 1 hour at least. Unwrap and have at it. The meat is pull apart tender and will be the best BBQ pork you ever ate. It really is that simple and it only took me 50 years and the purchase of this smoker to learn how to do it. I am going to buy another one of these and stick in the attic for safe keeping just in case they quit making them. Too easy and too inexpensive not to have one or two. Smoked the Thanksgiving turkey in it last year and I have requests from the whole family to do it again this year. The only down side to this smoker is that you could not do a whole shoulder or real whole brisket in it. Just too small. Would buy a double wide on of these in a heartbeat just for whole briskets. Highly recommended. This is one of those purchases that you can say, "that was one of the best $150 I ever spent".

I have used charcoal and electric smokers before but this is my first gas one. I have to say I love it. I can Heat up far enough to cook ribs outside in the winter, or I can turn it way down and cold smoke. There is allot of space. We have smoked close to 20lbs of fish in it just fine and it has a very even smokeing/cooking. With our electric we would have to keep moving things around for eveness but on this one you dont. We are very happy and recommend this to anyone who wants a great versital smoker at a good price.

This is the first smoker I've purchased and I couldn't be happier so far. It was easy to assemble and all the parts seem to be good quality for the price.
I smoked a whole chicken (beer can) the other day and it came out perfect. Smoked it for exactly 4 hours at 225 degrees using some chunks of misquite and my homemade rub. Came juicy and packed with flavor! The fam loved it. I'll be smoking some baby backs this weekend. Can't wait!
I would highly recommend for first time smokers.
