This BBQ works good for the average BBQ person. It comes in lots of pieces, so plan on a couple of hours to put it together. The tools needed are not included, but all the parts are in the box. It did take me some time to put together, the instructions are easy to follow. Brinkmann makes a good product and I feel this BBQ will last. It has wheels for easy mobility. Built in Temperature gauge helps to regulate the heat. Adjustable charcoal grate allows you to move the coals closer or further, for different cooking styles. Clean up is easy, with soap and water. Porcelain coated steel cooking grates, help the food not stick. Offset fire box is great for grilling smaller meals. Storage shelf below and large front work space, are nice additions to the grill. First out of the box make sure and follow the instructions for cureing your new grill. I would recommend this product, for someone looking to begin grilling at a great price.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by JJohnston Product is sturdy - directions are easy to understand
I ordered it online and picked up at the store. The process was seamless. BBQ is solid and nice for the price, the little smoker is an added feature.

We just purchased the grill last weekend, and we have only used it once. The paint has already melted off of the grill It has already begun to rust. Not a happy customer.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by southernsmokers do not buy this item if you really plan to use as a smoker.
The first time we used the grill/smoker the temp gauge filled with smoke and we had to take the glass out. It rusted (even being covered) within a month and now the temp gauge does not work at all. Do not buy this item if you plan on using it as a smoker, you will be wasting your money. We are die hard smokers and this looked like it would work well but we are extremely disappointed. Did not want to give any star but one is required

Rated 4 out of 5Â by schlafe Functional entry level charcoal grill / smoker
The Brinkmann Charcoal Grill and Off-Set Smoker is a good entry level charcoal grill and smoker with a functional design. The unit arrived in adequate packaging with plenty of Styrofoam and a lot of cardboard and plastic bags protecting individual pieces. The 761 square inches of total available cooking surface is enough to smoke plenty of meat for a medium sized family gathering or picnic and grill and a large number burgers/dogs. Utilizing the offset firebox while smoking allows for more efficient smoking and temperature control than a single smoker unit as there is no need to open the main grill cover to add fuel. The damper on the firebox and the smoke stack are both easily operable and provide adequate airflow to control the temperature when smoking. The both the larger grill and the off-set fire box can be used on their own when grilling when it is not the entire cooking surface is not needed. I did not find it necessary to utilize the adjustable charcoal grate although it is nice feature. The steel coated grate does appear to be high quality without flaking. An, the porcelain grates do clean up fairly easily after a good soak. I did notice that the lid on the grill does not seal very well and does allow some smoke to escape from the unit (see image). This is one reason I mentioned that I believe this is a decent entry level smoker. The front work table is not very sturdy and is likely not designed to hold a lot of weight although it does hold a plate of meat or grilling utensils without issue. The large storage shelf below the unit can hold a bag of charcoal and some pieces of smoking wood. The overall build of the smoker/grill unit is of fairly thin steel that will flex and bend easily. The black coating has been applied evenly and seems like it will hold up well. The steel handles are a nice feature as they do remain cooler than the fire box and grill covers. The built-in temperature gauge is placed in the middle of the smoker and appears to be accurate. The unit moves around easily by using a handle on the fire box end that allows you to lift the unit and roll it on its wheels. The assembly does take some time and one lock nut was missing from the kit. The lock nut is not packaged individually like all of the other nuts and bolts; it is supposed to be attached to the end of the cooling rack but was no longer there (see image). Not a major problem. The instructions recommend two people during the assembly process although I did not have any trouble assembling on my own. Overall I would say this is a good starter smoker/grill that will suit most individuals looking to charcoal grill or smoke some meat without breaking the bank.
