I considered throwing the grill away but tried replacing the regulator first. The results are a brand new grill. I would suggest trying this if you have low and flickering flames, especially in cold temps, as I did. Could not be happier.

The regulator was easy to install after the old one was removed.

My particular grill also has a side burner. I failed to first check the hose configuration before buying this item and had to return it for another model.

I made a WC gauge to measure pressure. The difference between this regulator and the one it replaced was only about 1/2" column, but the difference of the flame was more than I would have expected. (Previously the flame was barely on, now it 'roars'.)
The hoses (collar to collar) are roughly 21 1/2' and 25 1/2" in length. Works great for the 4 burner plus side burner grill I have.

This is an easy way to bring the sizzle back! Maybe two minutes with an adjustable wrench and the BBQ is good as new. Plenty of hose to reach the burners and grill on a large BBQ.
