Rated 2 out of 5 by Kind of lousy design This is well made and sturdy, and would be awesome if it were a better design. Unfortunately, the thing is too short, so the pork spare ribs I tried to smoke in it just flopped over. I didn't even end up using it because I was afraid that as they cooked they would firm up extremely misshapen--or worse, fall apart as they got tender and loosened up from the bone. I guess this would work okay with shorter baby-back ribs, but that's not the way it's advertised. December 10, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hey there... that sure is a nice Rack you have! Let me start out with I LOVE Ribs, hate to BBQ outside in the heat! When it is cool outside, sure give me a nice BBQ Pit! Today it was 102f outside... where do you think I cooked my ribs??? I saw this rack online and had to have it. One of the things I don't like about cooking ribs is that when you cook them inside, in the oven they tend to end up cooking in a vat of their own fat. Sure it makes them all nice and juicy, but it also make them very greasy! I took my rack of ribs and cut them in half. (Two reasons - 1 to season them differently and 2 to make them fit in the oven easier.) They stood up in the rack beautifully. I was looking forward to a lot of crispy outside along with the juicy inside! In an oven, you need to adjust your cooking time and temperature. I didn't get it quite right with the rack. The ribs did end up crispy on the outside and a little dry on the inside. They did cook evenly though. One thing to note. I put the ribs in the rack two different ways. 1 section fat side down 2 section fat side up. As you can see in the pictures, the one side (fat side down) folded over onto the other section during cooking. All in all, I love the rack and will be using it for ribs again as well as cooking bacon! I can see some crunchy bacon in my future! OH! It cleaned well too! September 9, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by The rack makes it difficult to cook the ribs evenly I had problems when using this to BBQ some pork ribs. Normally I just lay the rack of ribs on grill flat and then turn and move them around to get the cooked evenly. Using the rib rack, you can rotate the ribs to cook on each end, but the center does not get cooked. Also I had some thick ribs that didn't fit in the rack and had them stick out on the end. The other issue is if you want to brush your ribs that are standing vertically, the sauce drips down into the flame. I will stick with my original method of cooking the racks flat on the grill.
