I COULD WRITE 15 PAGES ABOUT THIS THIS PIECE OF JUNK (THEY WON'T LET ME USE THE WORDS I WANT TO USE) BUT, THEY WOULD HAVE TO BLACK OUT 14 OF THE PAGES !!! SO I WILL MAKE THIS AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE. THIS IS THE WORSE PIECE OF JUNK I HAVE EVER USED IN THE 40+ YEARS OF OUTDOOR COOKING !!! I SWARE THEY HAD THICKER CHEWING GUM WRAPPERS WHEN I WAS A KID THAN WHAT THIS "THING" IS MADE OF, FOR GOD'S SAKE !! I HAD A BRINKMANN WOOD GRILLE FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS AND IT FINALLY BURNED OUT. THIS "THING" THEY CALL A GRILLE, I KNOW WON'T LAST 4 MONTH'S FOR ME AFTER USEING IT FOR LESS THAN 1 MONTH !! I WANT MY MONEY BACK !!!!

Plenty of bells and whistles with this grill but I watched it fall apart piece by piece. The igniters went out within the first year. The burners started to deteriorate after the first year but to be fair, I did not clean them as often as recommended. Then the support for the propane fell apart and finally the front two wheels fell off this past weekend and I’ve never
even moved it! Did I mention the front right door fell off too and the handles wouldn’t stay on the drawers? Complete junk! This is the most expensive grill I’ve ever purchased and it lasted no where
near what my cheaper gills have lasted.
The cooking was fine for a while but what good is it if it falls apart in a little over two years? Lesson learned. No more Brinkmann products for me or my friends.

I've been using for less than a year. First some fat was burning and the gas valves melted and are unusable. So for the last few months I've been using the charcoal side until the handle broke the other day(plastic). I was going to buy replacement parts but it is no longer supported by BRINKMAN and parts aren't available....AFTER LESS THAN A YEAR!

Online this appears to be well-built, heavy-duty grill, but unfortunately it's not. If I had seen this in the store I probably would not have bought it.
In terms of assembly and the design doesn't lend itself to quick assembly. Also, the grease catch-cup is directly above the gas tank, [grease may drip onto tank].
I've used the propane side and the heating is uneven, [due to light parts or burner design?] The charcoal side is unique in that it has a moveable plate for adjusting heat - a nice feature
Pros: impressive looking, unique heat control of charcoal.
Cons: timely assembly, light-weight design, no provision for rotisserie, poor cooking performance, grease cup over propane tank.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JDatgoodhope Not bad, but not great.
My wife bought this BBQ for me 3 1/2 yrs ago. The smoking function was completely dysfunctional. The smoke and heat do not get to the cooking chamber. The draft seems to be set up all wrong. On the other hand, the propane section is great. Love the cast iron grates. If you spray them with grilling oil, nothing sticks to them. The burners burned out after 2 yrs. Charcoal function was good. If you're looking for a smoker, this is not it. Buy a dedicated smoker. I have had a CharBroil side draft barrel smoker and a Master Work propane smoker and both we're fantastic. Happy grillin!

Overall, not as good of a product that I had expected for the price! We used the smoker once and the paint on the grill peeled up and has since rusted. It didn't hold up like I thought it should for being a triple function grill. The charcoal and gas section work great, but we are very disappointed in the smoker part of it and that was the main reason for buying the 3 in one!

This probuct was recieved with lots of defects.
Including: 3 broken welds in the main cooking box ( needed re-welded)
Missing parts (screws, washers, nuts)
2 bent side panels that required re-forming to fit
Crushed and bent fuel regulator and hose.
Assembly was not difficult but a challange due to the produce condition.
I kept the product because I had spent over 3 1/2 hours fixing and assembling the grill.
Overall product design is good. Could use a few more vent controls for smoking (which I have already made).

Some folks have mentioned that this is NOT an easy to build and that's VERY true. The main problem I had was the handle hardware, particularly the length of the bolts. The easy solution, make a trip to your local hardware and buy longer bolts.
Also, READ the manual before pulling out your tools, along with looking at the pictures very carefully. I spent more time on the legs than anything else because I didn't carefully look at the illustrations and had to rework the build.
Besides that, I like the unit. So far, I've used the charcoal and propane sides without any complaints. It roasts well and the gas portion heats nicely. Do be sure to use enough charcoal.
