Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Unsatisfactory! Doesn't get hot enough!
I would have rated this grill good in both Quality and Value, maybe even excellent, except that it can't cook steaks properly!
Its thermometer has a scale that goes from 100 to 600 degrees. Temperatures from 100 to 300 are indicated as "WARM", 300-450 as GRILL, and 450-600 as SEAR. With the outside air at about 65 degrees and all three burners at their highest settings, it has never gotten above 425 degrees or so. This is a deal-breaker if you want to cook steaks properly.
We're so disappointed that we no longer enjoy barbecuing our meals and we very much wish we had not bought this grill.

From day one if there was any breeze at all the grill would not go above 300 degrees. I contacted the manufacturer who sent out a retro-fit update that was supposed to help. It didn't. This drug on for a couple of months. Home Depot would not take the grill back, nor would the manufacturer. I have been stuck with this for over a year and will never by a Brinkmann product again due to their lack of customer support.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Arnold Rusted out after just 2 years!
I've had this for only 2 years and it has rusted completely through in several places both inside and outside of the grill. It was cheap compared to other grills of similar sizes when I bought it, but be warned; the overall quality is poor. I took good care of this thing and used a thick canvas grill cover year round but that didn't stop this grill from falling apart. It has a light, flimsy, aluminum foil-like body. It's very evident this is just a flimsy low quality grill once compared side-by-side with other higher quality grills that are available. Save your money and buy a better grill! ...Or prepare to buy a new grill a couple years later.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OneDevilDog Easy to assemble and operate.
Since this was going to be the first propane grill I ever owned, I was quite leary about buying this grill due to the reviews stating that the grill did not get hot enough.
However, I decided to go for it since the displayed unit was sturdy with thick cast iron grates and the burners come with a lifetime warranty (indicated in the instruction manual). What I had also saw was that the display model had this additional back plate attached to it to reduce the gap opening behind the lid. I believe was the manufacturer's fix to resolve the heating issue. In summary, I had the grill together in less than an hour and when I had fired it up on high for all 3 burners, in ten minutes, the lid mounted temp gauge was pegged at 600 degrees.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by doofus247 POOR QUALITY & POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
This is a terrible product and was missing so many pieces. I would never buy from Brinkmann again. Their customer service is absolutely the worst, that is if you can ever get ahold of anyone to speak with.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by squid grill stinks!!
I bought the grill not even 2 weeks ago and its already going bad. It started ok with a factory default with a nob that was upside down. Didn't really care about that anyway, didnt effect the use. The far right ignitor had trouble and kinda was hard to light. Then a week later the middle ignitor didn't even work. So 2 ignitors broke, the side burner nob wont go in all the way and is upside down, and the fact that this all happened in less than 2 weeks makes this grill a horrible purchase. DO NOT BUY!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nort I was dissatified in the way the grill heated up.
I have never seen a product with rating at such opposite ends of the spectrum. Either people love it or hate it. I am on the dislike side. I had planned a big grilling party on the weekend. Luckily I tried the grill Friday night after assembly. it took 45 minutes to cook two small steaks. Would not get above 325 degrees. after several attemps to get better results, I gave up. Home Depot was very graciuos about the return. A word of warning most of the heat exits the large opening in the back of the grill. While not being able to cook steaks I managed to singe bushes almost four feet away from the back of the grill. Keep it away from your house or any combustbles.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jack A decent grill
I have read many reviews here of this grill and wonder what these people are doing to get such bad results. I converted mine to natural gas. The instructions for doing so were poor, and the expensive conversion kit was a waste when all you really need is the hose from the kit. But the grill has worked fine for the past year. I rotisserie whole chickens frequently as my family loves them. The grill starts well, and gets hot. You should know there are batteries for everything required. You need "D" batteries for the rotisserie, and lighted cutting board, and an "AA" battery for the spark starter. To rotisserie a whole chicken takes 2 hours at 400 degrees. I changed the batteries for the rotisserie after 4 chickens.
Searing steaks etc is no issue. Works fine.
