Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Don't bother purchasing unless you have a lot of light I bought two of these and the timer turns on and off as advertised, but you need a lot of light to make sure it resets itself in the mornings. For example if it is a cloudy day more than likely the timer will not turn on in the evening because there wasn't enough light to make it realize the day has past. Most of the time the timer has turned on and off even before I get home in the evening and it's still light out. There has to be something better out there don't bother with this purchase. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I've been using this for years for Christmas lights, bought a second one cause the 1st was so good! Highly recommended! The best thing is the ability to change the 'ON' times in 2 hour increments. Possibly the least expensive and most versitile device in my house! November 25, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by How could you screw up a photocell timer? Either it's defective or I can't figure it out. It seems simple enough: have a photocell that you can adjust the sensitivity to and when it's triggered then you have a timer that'll stay on for a certain number of hours. 2 buttons: one to select the length of time of the appliance to stay on and one to turn it on/off manually. 1 screw-driver adjustable setting to set the sensitivity of the photocell. I couldn't get mine to trip into the ON position. Furher, you'd think that turning it on would start the timer. It doesn't on mine. I think I just have a dud. So, I'm left a bit confused with: do I have a dud or am I just not working it correctly? I'm taking it back and giving up. April 11, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by this product is garbage instructions are terrible even knowing how to preset most timers this 1 was impossible to set when I finally got the light to come on by the darkness it would never shut off. don't buy this product or you will be disappointed July 7, 2012
