The specifications given are for pass-through amp/watts/volts. How much current does it take to run the timer itself when off but plugged in?

The 44-1020 uses about 1 kW a month when plugged in and not being used.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Have had it for years I have had this timer for probably about 6 years or so. I haven't really had any issues until now, but having it so long, I am not surprised. I have used it with a power strip to turn on several of my reptiles lights. 100w bulbs and UVB lights, it has worked great! I didn't have to remember to turn on my reptiles lights anymore!! I was shocked to see all of the other Brinks timers with bad reviews. I am just now looking for a new timer bc the one I have is cracked now, and the time was 2 hours off the other day. The only other time that has happened was when the house lost power for a little while and I had to reset it. Since I have had good luck with this one in the past, I will probably buy it again. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by picture is not of this timer This would be a good timer if you are looking for a 30 minute timer. The picture is of a 15 timer and no where in the description does it list the length of the timer . I believed the picture was the first mistake. If I needed a 30 minute timer I would have bought it from the store and not had to wait 8 days. It would be nice if the specs gave all the needed info. October 17, 2013
