The split is lengthwise in the seam. I tried a two piece epoxy but it only lasted for about 50 yards, then started to leak again. What do you suggest ?

I am assuming the piece of equipment you want to repair is past it's warranty period.
There is a two part epoxy made for plastics, my friend uses it on his kayaks and loves it. The name slips me but it should be easy to find. Unfortunately, this sounds like a difficult area to repair. I imagine
the plastic is too thick to be pliable enough to open the split and force some epoxy to the inside.

Epoxy is the strongest when it can surround, at least partially, the repair area. Be sure to clean the area to be repaired with acetone or lacquer thinner first.
Good luck.

Answer:
Hi Doug,
The size of the split and the flex of the plastic roller combine to make it unlikely that you will be able to repair your roller.
Keep in mind that rollers need to be smooth to operate properly and that when weight is added to the roller, the additional flex will break any patch in the seam.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tow behind roller Good quality. I am using it to compact decomposed granite. I can't fill it because my Sear tractor (circa 2000) 15 hp can marginally pull it due to the loose surface (traction). Once the surface is compacted with rain and with the roller it should work well. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good equipment Easy to assemble, pulls well behind my lawn tractor and does the job. I have used it to roll a crushed concrete driveway and also to roll over newly planted sod. Works great, doesn't leak water and stores easily. August 9, 2016

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Roller Once all parts were received it is a great at being a roller. Just should not take 2 phonecalls to get all the parts that should of came in the original box May 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great roller Smashes down mole trails nicely and tows easily with me 22hp tractor May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brinley make quality Home Depot sell quality Item has few moving parts, assembly was easy with clear and concise instructions, price was fair.. I would recommend this to a friend. December 8, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Brinley roller good but.... The roller arrived in the 1st week of April. The assembly was easy but there was a problem getting the plug to fit into the fill/drain hole. Closer examination determined that the pipe threads cut into the full/drain hole were damaged preventing insertion of the plug. I called the manufacturer and was told they would ship a new roller. When the roller arrived it was the wrong size. Numerous email communications resulted in an assurance of the shipment of the correct roller by "the end if the month". It is now 2 months after the purchase and the problem has not been resolved. June 2, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by The roller has large water plug but it is very cheap plastic. I could not get the cheap plastic water plug to screw in right. It took me half a day to make a work around. My work around let me roll the lawn but it ls slowly leaks water too. I wish I had bought a better brand. The few good points are it can be assembles in a reasonable amount of time and it is not too heavy when empty. A good roller must have a good water plug and this one obviously has a bad water plug system. June 11, 2015
