Customer Questions & Answers

How do the tires hold up? Are they solid?

Asked by: Anonymous
Mine is about ten years old,and the only problem I have is with Goathead stickers, I keep "Slime" in the tires to keep them from going flat.

what runs the pump?

Asked by: Anonymous
A 12V battery, usually the lawn mower's. But that would require the mower to run continuously. Not good for pollution or life of tractor. So my husband replaced the original hose (which ALSO split anyway after a few uses) with a heavy duty 50' long one and installed a battery on the cart. I park the tractor where I need to spray and use the battery to run the pump, getting about 80ft of travel from the tank in one stop. All was well until the tank decided to split open while full with 20gal. of Round-up.

Do the spray arms retract or fold up so this can fit thur a doorway?

Asked by: tony
Yes, they have knobs that loosen so you can fold the in, out or straight or get different spray patterns. They will be as wide as the wheels easily going through a 32" door.

What size is the hose on this sprayer?

What size is the hose on this sprayer? ( i.e., ID 1/2" or ID 3/8", etc.) Also, if I attached a longer hose, say 25 to 50 ft. would the pump maintain pressure or if I put in a "T" and ran two 25" hoses?
Asked by: PropMan
The hoses are all 3/8 inch.

I share this with my neighbor, and we both spray 2-acre bare ground with it at east twice a year, and spot-spray in the meantime. Had it for 10-12 years. We've broken a couple of heads (easily replaceable), and the shut=off valve plumbing a couple of times (our fault). The pressure switch went bad in the pump head, and I bought a replacement for it for about two bucks. Due to goathead thorns, we keep "Slime" in the tires. We have to "Slime" the tractor tires as well. I hit a rock and split the tank, but a couple of drizzles of Gorilla Glue fixed that. I learned that from fixing dirt bike and quad-runner fenders! I'd buy another in a heartbeat!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not quite great. The sprayer was easy to assemble and works well. The only issue was the pump to spray boom hose. The length called out in the instructions would reach but made it difficult to remove the cap to fill the tank. I had to purchase a hose myself that is 6 inches longer than what is called for.

Also the rear spray mount should be one single piece as for stability purposes. I found it confusing that it only gave pressure clips for just five of the hose connections instead of the rest of the six but they show no leaking as yet. Clips are cheap enough to buy, but I'm assuming the pressure should be the same at all points. The filter for the bottom sprayer has a thick thread to be threaded on a fine threaded assembly? It's a rubber filter and the pressure of fitting it will keep it on, so I have no idea if this was made to purposely crossstrip the rubber instead of a pressiure fitting. Besides that the air inflated tires make for a smoother pull than would hardened ones, and the tow hitch is just right height for pulling behind my rider. Installation of the electronics was simple enough.

However, as mentioned before, the 30" hose is too short. If the pump had be e n mounted the other direction, the hose would have be e n long enough so that is on whoever makes the tanks for Brinley. 48 inch hose is cheap and easy to get plus a few clamps that were missing. It didn't take long to put together and works great so far.

One of the hoses is 30" and is not long enough to reach the back of the sprayer. My husband had to cut the long hose to make it reach and then splice the two shorter ones together. The rest of the product is sturdy and well designed.
