Customer Questions & Answers

Can this product handle 10.5 acres of leaves?

Asked by: JB216
Unfortunately, no. It will only do whole acres, so it could do 10 or 11, not 10.5.

Does this product require a additional accessory for a zero turn mower?

Asked by: Anonymous
I use mine with a zero turn and love it. BUT, I can't make zero turns with it. You have to know the limits of your hose and if you stay within those limits, the unit will work great. As far as additional accessories, mine fit right out of box. Pretty simple hook-up.

Does this unit come with temlates to connect to the mower, what size decks, and will it pick up walnut stems

Asked by: Oldgeezer
Hi Oldgeezer, Like the Community replied, yes the unit does come with some templates however if your unit is not one of them you can still attach this to your tractor. Just make sure that the discharge is on the right hand side and the opening of the discharge is no larger than 20X5 What we do at our facility is hold the boot up to the opening and trace that out to fit the discharge. Will this pick up hickory nuts and acorns?

Asked by: Jen
Hi Jen, We would not recommend this unit for picking up acorns or hickory nuts. Over time that could cause damage to the housing and the impeller and could even knock the impeller off balance causing it to shear away from the motor shaft. We only recommend this unit for leave and grass. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us direct. Brinly Hardy Team.

33 cu. ft. Tow-Behind Poly Vacuum System is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brinly Leaf Vacuum This vacuum looked like it would provide the best value for my needs. Overall the assembly instructions were poor. There were so many steps that were not properly explained that I basically tossed the instructions and assembled this vacuum myself. Total assembly time was seven hours with some help from a friend who is very experienced with machinery. The template for the fitting of the plastic part to the mower was very good -- except that it took awhile to figure out which template would fit with my Yard Machines mower (which wasn't on the manufacturer's list). The assembly instructions need a page that details exactly by describing each item with a picture how many nuts, bolts and other similar parts are included and are needed for the assembly. Just listing them in the front of the instructions was not useful. The proper number of nuts, bolts and parts were included, but the last package of bolts was hidden at the bottom of the plastic fitting that attaches to the mower (the very last step in assembly) and I found it only after I had substituted my own bolts for the bolts that should have come with the vacuum. There is a small inconvenience in the use of the vacuum in that the hose interferes with the ability of the mower to make a full turn. Also, there were no instructions on how to use the dumping mechanism. It would be really nice if the manufacturer or Home Depot would provide one or more complete and detailed videos on how to assemble this product and also how to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality product I purchased a Brinly pull behind sweeper 3 years ago and was very happy with the sturdy quality of the product,. We are getting older and needed to simplify leaf collection in the fall so I decided to purchase the LVS33 Brinly because of our previous purchase and they didn't disappoint. The quality is there and if you take your time reading the instructions it goes together easy. I have used it 3 times this season and I am pleased with its' performance.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Brinly Good and Bad Purchased the LVS-33BH on 10/22. Manual is "So So" biggest issue on putting the unit together was missing many nut and bolts. Made 4 trips to local Home Depot to purchase needed parts to complete the construction. Spoke to Brinly customer service while helpful, it seems that the extra step of quality control to ensure a good customer experience should be simple. First real use of vac yesterday worked well, mostly as advertised. Although the 8' hose connection to the vac side of unit, doesn't want to stay connected, comes off easy. Real issue came after the Vac sat overnight it started leaking oil thru the crank shaft seal. Called Brinly the customer service rep referred me to Briggs and Stratton. Called Briggs and Stratton they asked me to take the vac to a location small engine service dealer for needed repairs. So all in all not a good experience, this vac isn't cheap. Some additions to Brinly Quality Controls, would be welcomed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from missing parts and instructions picked unit up at Home Depot and after opening crate and removing parts discovered only had instructions in french and spanish not english. Also missing all bolts etc for assembly. After no response from Home Depot and the manufacturer so I took it back to Home Depot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I bought it Even though it was a challenge putting it together I'm really happy with this thing. The drawings in the instructions could have used some text of helpfull hints to clarify and speed assembly. I have it working with an older Cub Cadett with a 50 inch deck. Fitting to the deck was no problem. You can hear this thing sucking air over the sound of both engines. Leaves chop down to postage stamp size. The only downer is unloading, I had to use a bungy coard to keep the wagon latch open so I could lift the cover and tilt the cart. This thing does a great job, leaves just dissappear into the cart.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design. When I ordered the lawn vacuum I received a shipping confirmation approximately one week later. Didn't hear from the shipping company for almost 2 weeks. Contacted homedepot.com and they checked into it for me. It was sitting on a loading dock at the company that was to deliver it to my residence, it arrived 2 days later. Went to put it together and the instructions were in French and Spanish. Couldn't read them. Downloaded the manual off the internet. Put it together which took several hours. When I hooked it to my mower I couldn't keep the hose attached. If I turned right the hose was to long and come off. If I turned left it was to short and would pull off. It took me approximately 4 hours mowing before getting one bag full because I was constantly stopping to put the hose on. When I called the company and asked them about it they said to tighten the clamp tighter, it didn't work. Going in a straight line it worked perfect. If you had to turn you would have to put the hose back on. The cable that holds the top when you dump it vibrated loose and when I went to dump it the shock couldn't hold it and broke. I do not recommend this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great leaf vac It did take a little while to build out of box but instructions were good. Missing 6 bolts all the same size out of two different step bags. No problem though they explained what type bolt and was able to drive done and pick them up. Nuts were there just missing bolts. Wasn't sure how long to run it till dumping so dumped early on the first run and extended the second run. Too long and it was packed in there. Tought me a lesson not to over fill. I have a zero turn and it works well. Just have to watch the left hand turns since hose has to stretch. May shorten the tow bar some but I just make most all sharp turns to the right. Works very well. Motor cranks almost always on second pull. Dumped 6 loads first day. 5 second time I vaccumed a week later. Looks like two to three more before all leaves fall but looks great after complete. Wear a mask most of the time it keeps dust behind you but wind and dumping gets pretty dusty. Overall very happy with my purchase.
