Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 27 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good solid little disk Works just great for us. The small garden tractor can pull it and when set to the maximum angle the discs cut nicely. February 21, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Item works as described We have a Brinly moldboard plow, and this unit works great to break up the clods. It does a nice jobbreaking up unbrokenground too, if its not as hard as a rock, needs some moisture in the soil to soften it a little. Overall the item is great and I amvery satisfied!! May 23, 2011
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by It will work with enough weight. My husband said that our lawn tractor wouldn't have pulled it, so he pulled it with the ATV (700cc). Even though the ground was moist, it is clay, he had to put 300 lbs on it for it to dig in sufficiently. It did what we needed to be done. We needed to work the yard and it had to go into a small area. June 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Handy Handy Lil Disc. Works great with ATV. I attached the Disc to an electric actuator sleeve hitch which negated the need to add weight and I am very happy with performance of this Disc. November 12, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good unit. It does the job with extra weights. Wish it had extra slots to turn the discs inward. You could then use it to hill. May 8, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works well when set up right, but takes experimentation with adjustments. Like the title says, this attachment will work good, but experimenting with different set ups is key. If you have the Brinley owners manual, it shows to set the discs with the outward, dished side towards the middle of the harrow. I set the discs up and mounted the disk hanger as instructed in the manual, and tried it out. As other reviewers have stated, the harrow jumped and hopped, one side and then the other, back and forth. Speed did not matter. I had to stop and try something else. What I ended up doing was switching sides in which the disk hangers were mounted, with the outward dished sides facing to the outsides of the harrow. This stopped the hopping and jumping that I was initially experiencing. The way I am pulling it, is with the sleeve hitch side of the hitch bar, and the bottom of the "V" shape pointed away from my atv, and the outward sides of the discs, facing out. It is not cutting very aggressively right now, but I am still going to mess with angles on this setup, and possibly switch the hitch bar around and pull it with the bottom of the "V" pointed towards the atv, and then try it with the disk hangers mounted on opposite sides. Double check for loosened hardware periodically. Overall, this harrow will do a sufficient job and save you time, over using a rototiller, if you take the time to set it up for your soil. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does exactly what we needed. We got this because we have a large garden (almost an acre). By using the disks in different positions, we are able to form (low) raised beds and paths. This piece of equipment is time-saving and also back-saving! We just wish we could put slightly larger disks on it. May 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked as described Used this product to install two acres of deer food plots. Assembled product without difficulties however I had to extend tongue for use with four wheeler. Ground worked up just fine with use of cinder blocks as weight. I came across another similar disk and fabricated it to use in tandem with the Brinly-Hardy. It works great and I expect to get many years of use out of it. August 26, 2011
