Ideal for larger lawns, Brinly’s super wide, high-performance 48 in. Tow-Behind Plug Aerator is the tool needed to keep your lawn lush and beautiful. This heavy-duty aerator features 32 heat-treated steel tines that penetrate the soil up to 3 in. depth. Each plugging spoon can be replaced individually, providing less expensive maintenance from having to replace the entire spoon shaft. Four separate welded tine sections rotate independently, even during tractor turns. And for those really compacted areas where maximum penetration is needed, an additional 200 lbs. of weight may be added to the fully enclosed steel tray. Need to cross the driveway or drive over a sidewalk. Simply use the single lever to engage the semi-pneumatic transport wheels.

  • Wide working width of 48 in.
  • Up to 3 in. penetration
  • 10.5 in. x 3.5 in. semi-pneumatic transport wheels; single lever engagement
  • All steel, 200 lb. capacity weight tray
  • Heat-treated plugging spoons for superior strength and durability
  • 16-gauge steel tines with four welded tine sections rotate independently, achieving maximum coverage
  • Universal hitch easily attaches to most riding lawn mowers and lawn tractors

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value for this well-built and sturdy aerator. I did my lawn (1 acre) in less than 2 hours, which paid for itself already. Excellent product and very easy to move around. November 14, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does a good job but make sure you have the right tractor I just got mine this week. Took about 2 hours to put it together. Make sure you place the tines assembly on the rod exactly as it states in the directions or they will hit the center divider or two of the tine wheels will be too close together and tear up your lawn. It's a well made piece of equipment and even with 250 pounds of sand (bags) it's easy to engage from working mode to transport mode. One word of caution is you should measure your tractor hitch height. I have a newer Ariens and the hitch sits low so the aerator slants forward a bit and may be causing some tearing of the grass - which does not bother me since I am seeding anyway. September 4, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT PRODUCT & AN HONEST REVIEW My 1 and only complaint on this aerator is the HANDLE placement... I wish I did not have to get off the mower to engage / disengage the aerator, that is why I gave (EASE OF USE) 4 out of 5 but I understand why they designed it this way as it is safer for the consumer... I had no problems in putting it together & it did not take me long at all. All parts where received and in great condition. I live in TN and I have clay soil so I found it best to use it the day after a good rain with 198 lbs (4) masonry blocks. I have over an acre of lawn and have found this model to better then comparable models & I have used 3 other aerators with poor performance or they just did not last long at all ( with clay soil ) so I returned all of them... BOTTOM LINE IS I WOULD BUY THIS MODEL AGAIN March 3, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product, questionable shipping. Product is as good as promised. Company failed to ship all parts but rectified the situation quickly. May 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I like it. It did everything I expected. Putting it together takes some time but it was not hard. May 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent!!! Assembly was a bear, but other than that the product is amazing. Works perfectly, yard has never looked better. April 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Assembly not a problem A big name brand charges $150 more for exact same thing. Wasn't aware green paint was that expensive. Not complicated to assemble, took a couple hours, but there are many pieces and this is not a toy. Instructions were concise, all parts present, no problems encountered during assembly. My time is cheap and I would rather have a less expensive product than pay for 2 hours labor for the factory or someone else to assemble this thing. Use a ratchet socket wrench along with open end wrenches, it goes faster. Got the 48 instead of 40" so I could put more weight on it due to very hard clay. Product seems sturdy and durable and works as expected. Not much else to say about performance, all it does is poke holes in the ground. July 31, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great. Fully met my expectations. Assembly instructions were adequate. Product performed as expected. Required hitch height was higher than my John Deere L130 so I had to rig up a temporary adapter April 22, 2015
