It only dumps in line with tongue. By backing up and turning you can kink it left or right in place of swiveling.

No it does not swivel .... I did not want a swivel dump as I feel you have more control over the dump process with a straight dump especially when you have a heavy load of dirt/rocks ....

Comparing the John Deere and the Brinly Hardy cart shows an identical cart. Brinly Hardy is known to manufacture equipment and relabed as John Deere. Can I assume that this is what's happening with this utility carts?

Yes its the same. the color is different. the axle may be a little more robust, thus being able to hold 1000lbs vs 850lbs. If I am hauling more than 850lbs, I am working too hard.

Answer:
Should work if height of hitch hole on golf cart is somewhere between 7" to 16"above ground. You'll probably need to reduce diameter of hitch hole by using a bushing. Just guessing ,your hole for ball is probably 3/4 " diameter and pin is 1/2". Bushing available at better car parts stores.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product, good customer service After doing some research I had settled on this product to help me complete some landscaping work. On July 4th I purchased this product and eagerly brought it home. Unfortunately, I didn't have all of the necessary parts in the box. I sent a mail to customer service (brinly-hardy) and received a reply before 9am the next day. Within 3 days I had everything I needed and my project was back on track. I don't usually write reviews but this was a noteworthy example of customer service done right and I felt it worth sharing. Kudos to the customer service team for an outstanding job. July 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 850 LB. 17 CU. FT. TOW-BEHIND POLY UTILITY CART Great cart !!! A work horse around the property. Durable and easy to build. Had a lighter weight (green & yellow) cart and it kept breaking. Couldn't handle any weight. You can easily build stakes for the sides of this cart as well. It also comes with a template for dividers to fit inside the cart to make separate compartments IN the cart. Did I say GREAT CART? It is. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product and Excellent Customer Service! Tried edit my post but I was unable . I just purchased this and I am impressed with how easy it was to assemble and how organized the nuts and bolts were. I did have to call customer service about a matter and they were excellent, very responsive!!! So I have read some negative post about the trailer and what I see is a well build trailer. We just cut down a spruce tree last night and it was so awesome to load that trailer up and haul the tree off! May 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Well Worth The Money The trailer came assembled and I was using it within 30 minutes of getting it to my house. Very substantial. Very stable. Easy to operate dumping function. Should last a long time. I'm please with the cart. June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Cart for the Money I just purchased this and have it all assembled and ready to go. The instructions on assembly were easy to figure out. I liked the way the hardware was packaged which made it easy to assemble the cart. The tub is pretty thick so I am not sure how the guy stuck a shovel through this thing, but I guess it could be done. The latch mechanism looks to be pretty well made. I do see where this could get out of adjustment so its critical to have the latch centered and it has two nuts to keep it centered. Also, the tub support should be moved well forward to engage the latch properly. I purchased the 10 cubit foot one first and it wasn't big enough for me so I didn't assemble it and just returned it for this one. Now this tub is very big! I am looking forward to using it around the property! May 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Cart! I bought a John Deere cart from a dealership, I think a kid put it together what a nightmare so I returned it & bought this one as I found out they make JD. I received it put it together no problem at all until I got to the (pedal spring release) but got. All I can say is read the book look at Pics you'll get it.. Thank you, Brinly . Customer Michael McMahon from Macomb, Mi. May 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very large garden cart very well made and easy to use and what i think is the best bang for the buck. unless your hauling very heavy material like stone or rock ,sand etc it may have a problem with over a thousand pounds but i still think it can do it. i use for brush , firewood ,yard clean up . i built the stake sides so i could fill it with leaves and brush at 17 cubic feet it holds a lot . April 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Truly awful to use - buy something else I have had nothing but problems with this cart from day one. The locking latch they use to prevent the cart from dumping DOES NOT WORK. No matter how I tighten/untighten it, the latch will not stay put. So, when pulling this with my John Deere tractor up a hill, the stupid cart dumps everything in it. I put everything back in the cart and flip the locking latch, and it just dumps all over again. This was a total nightmare to assemble as well. Took me several hours in the hot sun, and had to use a lot of different tools. Instructions are horrible. This is the single most frustrating piece of lawn equipment I have ever used in my entire adult life. I cannot discourage you more from buying this cart if you truly value your sanity. I tried calling their "customer service" line. I was on hold for 10 minutes due to the "high volume of calls", then got a recording that they were closed. How's that for customer service? I'm still within the warranty period but it's not like I can even get through to them. I should've paid the premium for John Deere but thought I was doing the right thing by buying an American Made product. Lesson learned. April 16, 2016
