Product Overview

The primary entrance point to most homes is the front door. Most homes have a peephole as a means of seeing who is at the door. Brinno has perfected the Peephole with their latest Motion Activated Digital Peephole Camera/Viewer; the PHVMAC12. The PHVMAC12 will detect when someone approaches your door, turn itself on and display a clean crisp image on the 3 in. LCD inside the door and store photos or video of the person on an SD Card. The PHVMAC12 uses the traditional Peephole thus not alerting anyone outside the door they are being photographed. Battery saving technology allows the PHVMAC12 to last for approximately 9000 peeps, so even if you are away on a two week or two month vacation the PHVMAC12 will continue to record who was at your door. When returning home you simply push a button to review that was at your door. You can easily go back and review any day at the push of a button. All the photos are time and date stamped, and can be down loaded to a PC for long term storage. Want to know if they really tried to deliver your package. Now you will know. Want to catch the kids playing Knock. It's easy. Low light and bright light settings allow you to adjust for the time of day, dusk or high noon. An easy to use menu and simple Icons on the LCD panel allow you set it up the way you want it and review the photos quickly and simply. Now you really know who was at your front door when you were away.

  • Have time and date stamped photographs or videos of every person who comes to your door
  • Easy to install
  • Super long battery life will provide approximately 9000 peeps
  • Motion sensor works through the peephole; no tricky accessories to install
  • Traditional peephole is used so as not to alert visitors they are being recorded
  • Use the viewer to see whoever is at your front door without them seeing you
  • 1 button replay on the LCD panel of the day's visitors, any days visitors

Rated 2.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Really bad pictures The product install is very easy. I already had a hole for this to go in too. It installed fast, loved that. The pictures are very very granny, if it even takes a picture. It only takes a picture from waist up. You are not able to see the floor or side to side. You only see strait on. If you want to see if your package is at the door you will not be able to see it at all. February 23, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Decent Peephole with a Few Exceptions Does the job, but should be aware of the following. The image does not have the greatest angle of view ... probably just less than standard (a little narrower than the builder-grade that it was replacing). The screen resolution is on the grainy side. Emailed support who said that the package does not include a microSD card, and accepts ANY class microSD card. However, it did come with a 4 GB microSD class 4 card, and the Sandisk 8 GB microSD class 10 card that I had purchased, did not seem to work consistently with the peephole. Installation was very easy (took me less than 5 min's). Operation isn't particularly intuitive, and the instructions are not a great help. The motion activation and recording isn't always consistent ... seems to respond fairly regularly, but don't expect it to respond every time someone comes to your door. In general, the peephole is okay for my use in our apartment-style condo. I like that from the exterior, you cannot tell that it's anything other than a standard peephole. I also like that it provides added security, since a person can actually see inside from the exterior side of a regular peephole by putting their eye up to it; which cannot be done with this peephole. I do wish that it would have been better quality resolution and operation, and would pay a higher price if that was the case. Bottom line ... I recommend it with the above reservations. However, I don't think that it will suit everyone. January 15, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Picture is a little grainy The peep hole camera was very easy to put together and install where the existing peep hole was in the door. The camera did not consistently take the picture of someone standing at the door. Also, I purchased it because someone was stealing my UPS packages, the camera only takes a picture if someone is standing upright at the front door, the motion activation doesn't catch someone stooping in front of the door, even though I can see my door mat thru the peephole. So, it just didn't meet my expectations for the price. October 27, 2015
