Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by this product does not fit the Brita USS-120 It is impossible to tighten the Brita USS-120 with this filter in it. I even tried an oil filter wrench to get it to tighten down, but the water kept squirting out of the lid. It does not leak without the filter in it because the lid will screw down all the way. We tried two of these filters thinking perhaps first one was defective. Wasted whole weekend installing this product only to find this problem. Will return the whole system and look for another one that truly is easy. March 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gets out what we want out So far our experience with this filter is good. We like that it filters down to 0.5 micron and removes metals. We changed to this unit from a different unit and cant complain. March 22, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the same as the GE FXUVC I picked this one up since it's labeled Level 4 and costs less than half as much as the GE FXUVC which is no longer available at my local Home Depot. Comparing their Performance Data Sheets shows that while they both reduce the same contaminants, the GE FXUVC reduces some of them to a much larger degree. I had a brand new GE FXUVC on hand and the GE felt heavier so I weighed them both on my digital kitchen food scale. The GE FXUVC is 17 oz and the Brita USF-104 is 14.5 oz and the outer construction is different. Also, the Brita is rated for 400 gallons for most contaminants while the GE is rated for 500 gallons. So while the Brita still looks like a good filter, they don't appear to be the same filter with different labels as I'd hoped. July 31, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by seems good bought this to replace the expensive GE filters that home depot no longer seems to carry. Specs seem to be on par with the GE FXULC or FXUVC. Hard to say, as they no longer had those on the shelf to compare. However, at half the price of the GE filters, the Brita level 4 filter does list a lot of contaminants removed. No way to test it, but supposedly a certified filter, and the water does seem clean and clear. Will buy again when this one is used up. March 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FNT3 Great price on a filter that by law must do as it is rated - it is $30 cheaper that what I used to pay. Another great savings hit for Home Depot. March 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great Water tastes great. This unit replaced a GE filter of the same filtration rating. The flow rate of this filter is MUCH higher. The GE filter was very slow. I believe the GE filter was all media filtration, whereas this filter uses media/charcoal, which allows a higher flow rate. January 13, 2015
