I'm on city water. The water is good, but it was leaving my skin a bit dry. I wanted to see if a shower filter would make any change. It did. No more dryness. All is good again. I also have a filter on my kitchen faucet for drinking water. Big change. My drinking water has a fresh taste now. I found that as things change slowly over time, one does not remember what it was like in the beginning. I was never a big believer in filtering my water, but now I am.

The shower head is so easy to install and sells for a great price. As soon as you put it on you can feel a difference; the water is softer and filtered. My skin and hair thank me everyday!

I recently moved to the Houston area about 6 months ago and noticed right away that the water was horrible but, I dealt with it! After buying and installing the shower head and taking my first shower with it I could tell right away a difference. I'm hopeful that the improvement in my skin will continue!!

Our water is so bad my hair is frizzy and brittle my skin is itchy, dry and feels like leather, living in Iowa we are headed into winter so will only get worse. I was hesitant to try this but for $20.00 what did I have to lose. After 1 shower I could not believe the difference my hair and skin were so soft and no more itching!! You will not be sorry completely worth it, still have to see how long the filters last box says 6 months. I would have given it 5 stars for quality if it wasn't all plastic but pretty much everything is plastic now a days.

We live in Jacksonville, FL, and we have some of the worst quality water I've ever experienced. Absolutely loaded with chlorine, super hard, just awful. I had a Culligan rep test our water, and it scored 527 in terms of hardness. 500 is the max allowed by the Clean Water Act, just to give you a point of reference here of what I'm dealing with. Soaps and shampoos would barely lather for us, and we never ever felt clean (especially our hair).
Anyways, I took the advice of previous reviewers and decided to buy this product. Buying from Home Depot was a breeze. The product was available for in-store pickup, so I bought online and was in and out of the store in minutes. Installation was a breeze. I will say that I did experience a teeny tiny bit of leakage out the top of where it screws on, but I took it off and did a better job of applying the plumber's tape than I did the first time, and that seemed to remedy the problem.
I noticed a difference immediately in the first shower. Our soaps and shampoos now lather like a dream, so I can tell you with certainty that this filter IS drastically eliminating hard water. I feel so much cleaner every time I shower - truly amazing. I don't smell the chlorine smell in the shower anymore either, so that has been awesome. We have so much chlorine in our water that sniffing a cup of it reminds you of a swimming pool, so I was horrified about breathing it in while in the shower. Now I don't have to worry anymore.
I've had this product a little over a month, so I'm interested to see how long the filter actually lasts. It claims 6 months, but I feel that our hard water is probably going to reduce that. But, it's super worth it. I am so thankful I found this product!
