Not a fan! Pun intended! This fan was purchased for a smaller bathroom so it should be more than big enough to pull moisture out of the room during a shower. Wel, it isn't. Within minutes the entire room is so full of steam you can hardly see. Will have to replace.

The fan motor rotated in the wrong direction so it did not exhaust any of the steam from my shower.

I replaced this same fan about 5 years ago. I chose this one again because my wife likes the heat lamp and the installation is easy as a replacement versus doing a refit for a new size fan. Quality is not the greatest, but for our little bathroom this fan works fine.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Loriell Poor longevity on this one!
I have built 4 homes and never seen a fan that quits this quick. The motor is caputs and needs to be replaced, but is not covered under my homeowners warranty. Just perfect! I have 2 more of these fans in 2 other bathrooms. Waiting for them to die soon! Broan I have a question for you......what happened to quality and reliability? 5 years is hardly reliable.
I don't recommend anyone waste their time on this 162 model. Not a way to spend your hard earned cash.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MTheMountain Works as it should, looks decent enough.
The installation of the product is pretty average in terms of exhaust fans. Unless you have an open ceiling or plan on cutting from joist to joist, you'll need access from above. I did enjoy the adjustments of the mounting brackets which allow for play in thickness of the drywall.
The wiring diagram is kind of confusing at first because it's not typical. The junction box was a little tight when putting it back on, I had to bend the metal tab a bit.
I don't know for sure that this thing produces only 70 sones, however I did fill the gaps and tried to keep things as secure as possible to lower that. It does seem better after the fact.
The grill is kind of cheap, it attaches uses to springs. Luckily you don't need to remove it to replace the light bulb, otherwise I'd see this being a problem.
This had no bearing on me, but after a quick search I wasn't able to find any 4" to 3" adapters made by Broan, This model takes 4" so make sure that's what you have if you're replacing an existing unit.
Overall I was able to complete this (start to finish) in about an 1 hour and 15 minutes, and this includes adding insulation, and new duct work.
