Answer:
For model #371, I actually think the duct size is 3" NOT 4" (per Broan's website, see link below)

Answer:
Thank you for your question about the 671. The duct is 4” diameter, and it’s actually on the left side. Your current wiring should work fine with this new unit. If you have further questions, dial 888-336-6151 and let our Technical Support Group assist. Thanks, again.

Answer:
We would recommend that you use parts that are designed for the 663/688. If you purchase the 671, the 'guts' of this unit may not mount in the housing you have. If you have further questions, dial 888-336-6151 and speak with our Technical Support Department. Thank you.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Returned The mounting bracket was on the wrong side of the unit for my purposes. I had to return the product. Home Depot accepted the return without objections for which I commend them. May 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service and shipping Too loud for small residential bathroom but I knew what it was when I bought it. Highly recommend home depot! May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent product I chose three different fans and let the electrician make the final decision. The fan fit great, runs quieter than expected. I am very satisfied with the product. April 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product For A Great Price Went to my local hardware store and found this unit. Unit was easy to wire and mount. Like the ease of not having to use any tools to take the motor out or put it in. This unit replaced an older unit that was on its last leg. Night and day difference and a lot quieter.. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Broan ceiling fan I ordered this ceiling fan because it was the same dementions and size of the current one I had. The one I had was original in the house. So if this one lasts half of twenty years that one did, I will be happy. The old model I had was the 688 and this fit into the hole in the ceiling the exact same. Very happy with the purchase. Easy installation and was ready in the store to pick up within a week! February 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Loud These were extremely louder than my original units. These are the lowest cfm HD sells. Keep this in mind. Easy to install if you are replacing the old units. You'll just use the interior plate with the old box. Snaps in in seconds. December 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by existing fan replacement We installed this replacement fan in 3/4 bath. The fan is strong and clears shower dampness very efficiently. But it is loud. If the instructions for replacing the fan with a plug were clearer, I would have been able to replace the fan myself rather than hiring someone. Since the existing fan plugged into the ceiling, it was very easy to replace; no wiring or going into crawl space was required. The instructions didn't say how to remove the existing fan (same type). Since we were replacing an existing fan of the same type, I wish I could have purchased this model without the housing; I just had to throw out the brand new housing; a waste of money and materials. Overall I would recommend this fan for a replacement; this one fit into our existing fixture perfectly. If you are installing a new one without an existing opening, then I would suggest you look for a model which is quieter. Our old one lasted 22 years; I assume this model will be as reliable. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Actual size is not 9" but about 7" The "Specifications" tab says this fan assembly is supposed to be about 9" square, but it is actually only 7.25" x 7.5". Unfortunately, I ordered this online and had it shipped to me based on the measurements shown on this site, but it has turned out to be actually too small to fill the hole size in my ceiling - be aware!
