Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hikergirl A lot of power for a 30 inch range hood
We recently remodeled and switched out an old electric range with a very high power gas range. We needed a vent hood which could handle the BTUs. With only 30 inches to work with, this vent hood does a great job. The lighting is excellent, and the fan noise at full power is acceptable. The filter screens are easy to remove and clean. The first time we turned it on it sounded like a helicopter taking off, which is NOT what I wanted in my new kitchen! We took it down and found a piece of packing had gotten into one of the fans. Once removed it whispered. So my advice, if you've bought this hood and it's making horrible noises right out of the box, check the fan housing for a piece of the styrofoam packing. My only complaint is that it's a bit expensive, but it's your best choice for high power in a 30 inch width.

The best price for the Elite E661 was on Home Deport. In fact it was almost $200 less than Amazon which was a surprise. Not only does it look good, but the ease of cleaning, and solid pull of airflow makes it a solid addition to our kitchen remodeling project. There are three sittings for the two lights. A great feature. I rarely write a review - this product deserves the five stars. This model vents to the outside.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Auntdi This product does a good job of removing smoke & odors. However, there are maintenance issues.
This product does a good job of removing smoke & odors. However, replacing the light bulb is ridiculously difficult and the bulb involved must be special ordered as the GU10 base is not something stocked at local hardware stores. Also the stainless steel finish is rather fussy to keep looking nice and clean. Even the underside area beneath the filters is difficult to get clean. The overall style is functional but not exactly beautiful.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tommy Excellent Product!!!
We just bought this and it not only looks great, but works great. We wanted a low profile range hood that was powerful. This hood met all our desires and truly enhances the look of our kitchen. We are thrilled with it and recommend it to anyone! I stand by Broan products!

The hood works very well. We have it installed over a 30" induction cooktop. When remodeling the kitchen I foolishly installed a recirculating fan that was useless. I had the contract come back and install the necessary ducting to vent to the outside and installed this hood. It's great!
The only con is the buttons take some getting used to. The icons and functionality aren't great, but once it becomes second nature, I'm sure it will be fine.

This range hood is on the more expensive side as far as these appliances go, BUT it performs to that of a higher quality as well as is optically pleasing. Installation was pretty simple & it ties in our kitchen nicely as well as looking slick (minimal buttons, no huge BROAN logo), but onto the product itself;
The fan does a great job of the reason it was put above our range. On 1, you can hardly hear it. 2 is the usual setting we have it on & it is still almost silent while getting the vapors out of our home.
Lights are VERY pleasing as 2 50-watt bulbs easily light up the cooking space. These bulbs do get hot however. 3 different settings are a must for any over the range light.
Overall I am very pleased with this product.

If you want a powerful range hood, this is the one for you! And oh so quiet. Love that the filters are dishwasher safe. Love it's low profile. Easy to install - no profanity was necessary...
