The fan in this hood is powerful and effective, albeit a bit loud on the highest setting. One of my favorite things about it is the adjustable lighting underneath, which can be brightened for task lighting that is perfect when cooking or dimmed for a nice, warm glow that makes the kitchen look cozy at night.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Millie This range hood is beyond doubt the best I have ever used or seen.
The smoke and odor removal are outstanding, and the range of air movement is ideal. Having two halogen lights with variable intensity is a valuable feature, as they allow me to see exactly what is going on in the pans. Clean up is simple and fast because I can just snap the filters out, clean them, and snap them back in position. The profile is appealing, which makes my kitchen look better than ever.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tooldtocare Very nice unit.
The hood is very good. The people I worked with at H. DePot wer very good, for the most part. When I first ordered the hood, I was told it did not come in white.
After the first one come damanged, the second was dammaged by U.P.S., the 3rd. one came O.K. Even it had a hole in the box from U.P.S. However, the unit is nice.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by wayneo Quiet and Reliable
We have had this fan for about 2 1/2 years now. My wife wanted something quiet, and this is definitely it. It is way quieter than our fridge. We have an open concept kitchen in view of the living room, and people sometimes look over at the led on the fan, especially if we have set it to blink (5 minute off delay), and wonder what that is about, because they don't hear the sound of the fan at the lowest speed. Even at speed 2 it is still quite quiet. For comparison, our old original cheapo Broan was way louder at its minimum fan setting than this one at setting 2. Setting 3 is fairly loud, but not unpleasant, and we generally just use it to clear the air from the living room and kitchen for 5 minutes after baking something. As far as the lights go, we just bought some Phillips dimmable LED lights, 50 W equivalent, and they are quite bright, and only 6 W each. Make sure they are dimmable though. They will last for at least 20 years. By the way, the bulb installation is not that difficult. Match up the two prongs with the socket, which might take a minute (is that such a big deal?), push and twist. The fan installation itself was actually fairly tough, because one persone needed to hold it up while the other put in the attachment screws, and it is HEAVY. And we had to do this twice, because the cupboards above the fan rubbed against the top of the fan, so we had to remove it and put in some thin wooden shims to drop the front of the fan down a little bit. By the way, the filters are awesome. We pop them in the dishwasher regularly and never have to worry about buying those expensive disposable replacements. One of the speed pushbuttons is starting to get a bit unresponsive, so hopefully that won't be a problem for the future. Probably a spray from some contact cleaner will take care of it (with the circuit breaker off first!)
