We have an existing exhaust fan in a bathroom 10 feet away. I want to install this directly in the shower. Can I tie these 2 exhaust vents together?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in our exhaust fan. This unit requires a 6” duct to exhaust it. Since the CFM of your current unit is not provided, I can only tell you that you have to use, at the very least, 6” duct. It would be recommended to increase that to 7” or 8” if possible. You will need a “Y” connector for the two pipes to meet. This unit is U.L listed to be installed inside the shower/tub Read More

I will be feeding power from a new wall switch box to the unit via conduit or cable. How many wires do I need beside the standard ground, neutral, and hot to get full function control out of this unit? Is the light night light function also switchable from the wall?

Answer:
The 66W switch will work with the QTXE110SFLT fan. However, when using this switch, the fan function will either be off or in sensing mode. You can also use the 77DW switch which will allow you to use the fan in sensing mode and manual on/off mode.

Answer:
You can use the 77DW switch if you want to install in a single-gang box. If you want to install in a double-gang box, use 2 of the 68W. It’s also important to remember that you have the correct amount of wiring running from your switch to the fan housing.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great, Light Bulbs are VERY SPECIAL....BE AWARE The fan seems to work great. It comes on when I take a shower by itself or when I flip the switch twice. The problem I have is the light bulbs are special little ones, rather than screw in ones we can pick up at Home Depot they have two prongs on them. Come on. The bulbs should last a long time but who knows??? I would not have purchased this fan if I had realized this before we had installed it and the very last thing we did was open the box of bulbs to put them in and went NO.......you decide...it moves air... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A quiet and powerful fan We had been having problems with moisture buildup in the bathroom and subsequent mold and mildew. After installing this fan, the problem is gone. We had some issues with the aged wiring in our house and so the installer was not able to get full functionality (we don't have the night light), but it did what we needed. The light is bright enough to replace our previous light fixture. All in all, we're more than happy with it. July 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Bathroom fan The fan claimed to be very quiet, but I expected it to be loud anyway. It is so quiet that I had to really listen to hear it running! It was a bit difficult to install, but I never have to remember to turn it on. As soon as the shower heats up the fan comes on automatically and shuts off once the humidity is gone. I'm so glad we bought this fan and would definitely recommend. February 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great bathroom fan. Both the installer and myself were amazed at how quiet this fan was, and how powerful, compared to my previous bathroom fan. February 20, 2013
