Answer:
Yes, as soon as you release the trigger, the water stops - however, when it is not in use it is still advisable and recommended to use the shut off flow control valve that attaches to the water inlet, otherwise the constant pressure on the trigger valve may cause it to fail.

Answer:
Yes, it does. However, I recommend releasing the pressure on the hose after use. Shut off the on/off valve provided, then spray the remaining pressure into the bowl and hang up the nozzle.

Think garden hose. A garden hose left pressurized will one day eventually leak around fittings connection to the hose itself. Same principle. Read Less

Answer:
The T-Valve should mount to the water inlet of the toilet tank. Water coming from the primary supply should flow through the toilet shutoff valve, then through the T-Junction, then to the toilet. The picture should clarify the installation.

Hello Bert,
The shut off valve for the bidet mounts between the toilet supply line and the threads of the fill valve. I hope this helps.

Hi JT,
Thank you for your question and your interest in Brondell. The T-valve and hose are identical for both models, the difference is in the sprayer. The CleanSpa has a plastic sprayer with a button that pushes through to turn on and off. The CleanSpa Luxury is made of stainless steel and utilizes a grip handle to activate.

I would recommend a few things though that have nothing to do with the device itself. 1) If your toilet and the water supply valve is close to a wall, remove the tank and perform the installation then replace the tank; and 2) replace the flow regulator and the water supply line (if they're not relatively new, i.e. less than 6 months. DO NOT KEEP PRESSURE IN THE LINE CONTINUOUSLY The directions are clear to turn it off after each use and bleed off the pressure. Yes, the water is cold and it is a quickly learned skill to manually adjust the pressure of water flow. Having said all this, we are very pleased with our purchase.

Wand holster and hose are acceptable quality. As others mention, the finish of the flexible hose does not match the finish of the wand. I don't like having to turn the valve on/off at the base of the hose each time of use, or "risk water damage". Quiet inconvenient. -1 point for that. Wish I had read that on the packaging before purchasing....or would have bought a different unit. My (cheaper quality and price) kitchen sink spray hose doesn't require this...why should this?!?! Other minor issue is that the plastic clip for the wand holster prevents the (old style) toilet tank lid from completely closing. For me, not a big deal, as I will replacing the toilet soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the price! I don't know how people can live without this! Im so happy my days of bottles for bidets are long gone! My plumber installed 2 new toilets and 2 of these bidet sprays in no time. The water pressure is very strong and the spray and components are commercial grade material, not cheap plastic. Ive gotten used to reaching back for the on and off valve, but that is a small price to pay for cleanliness. My plumber said you could actually leave the valve in the on position and it wouldnt be a big deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very useful product. This was a quality product and very useful in hygiene. It was easy to install in a few minutes of time. Even having cold water to wash up with is not bad at all and easy to adjust to the temperature. Great for people with sensitive skin. The only suggestion is the holder is not very secure and needs more of a tab to hold the nozzle in place as it can easily fall out. I am going to add a small felt tab to the end of the holder opening to add some stability and keep the nozzle from falling out. Great product. Also, I do not have a sink in my laundry room and am thinking of adding one to the water faucet that goes to my washing machine so I can rinse out the soap dispenser when it gets plugged up etc. or need to add more water when using bleach etc. I can think of several uses for this device! Love it.

Installation was very simple, and the sprayer is amazingly effective and easy to operate. The only con is that the holder for the sprayer is attached to the tank clip by just one bolt and nut and it tends to swivel and come loose under the weight of the sprayer. I plan on using some locktite to hopefully correct this. All things considered, I highly recommend this bidet sprayer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good equipment but need improvement It is very easy to install but the risk to leave it open after use is high and it does not resist a long time opened. It will certainly leak. it could have a different valve which would allow water to pass in only one direction ( either to the toilet or to the spa). With that one would certainly close the spa in order to allow water to flow to the toilet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Customer Service Initially this review was going to be a poor one - Installation was very easy, and we were able to get it up and running within 10 minutes - the handheld piece worked great for about 24 hours and then suddenly it wouldn't provide adequate pressure - we removed the hand piece to check and the water pressure to the hose was still high - so it appeared that the hand piece was faulty. I contacted their support center who immediately remedied the situation by sending out a replacement hand piece - it has now been functioning perfectly for 3 months - love the extra clean feeling - and has reduced our toilet paper use dramatically. Nice looking addition to the bathroom that fits neatly on the side of the cistern tank. The flow control tap is easy to operate and the thumb trigger is a good design. Just wish we had purchased the hot water mixer to add to it to prepare for the winter months ahead...brrrrr Once you use a product like this, you will resent having to use paper on your behind ever again!

This item was selected over the others due to the high quality construction of the nozzle itself. Works very well and easy to control water spray pressure either by the lever, or also in combination with the valve and lever. (ex: the valve half way open) It was very easy to install.
