The hot line would have to come from the hot connection in the wall with the T-connector provided. I decided not to connect hot water and it works fine.

It will work with just the cold water from the toilet feed. The water may be uncomfortably cool without the hot mix, but it will function fine with just cold.

You can run a hot line if you want. I find the cold isn't unpleasant at all, and I decided not even to hook up the hot line on mine. I like just the cold water. Very refreshing.

Answer:
no, you don't have to run a hot water line. It's optional. The hot water inlet is capped off out of the box, so you can go use just cold water if desired. That's what I did...after using it, I wouldn't even recommend adding the hot water line. The "cold" water is no big deal.

Yes, they supply a 8ft hose to use and a T valve to hook into the hot water supply. It's a tranluscent hose so its easy to conceal.

Answer:
You can use it as cold water only but there are cheaper cold water only units out there. To use hot water, the included parts are made to tap into the bathroom sink hot water line. Note: the hot water tubing is 6 feet so you'll need to DIY your own connection or find longer tubing if your sink is further away.

Answer:
The bidet comes with a six foot hose and a splitter (or t-valve) for the hot water connection. The splitter will divert some of the hot water from your hot connection under the sink. Then the hose brings the water to the bidet. If your toilet is further than six feet from your sink, contact the manufacturer for longer hose length.

Specifically, I'm wondering how much 'clearance' from the porcelain bowl. We need a toilet seat riser for mobility reasons, that sits ON TOP to the standard seat... but hoping there is enough clearance to use from atop the seat riser. I'm sure there is enough water pressure/force to reach the extra 3 inches, but don't know if there will be a physical obstruction.

The spray nozzle only extends a couple inches. It would not reach the user if installed under a riser but would work if it is on top of a seat riser but under a toilet seat. Some risers are designed to be sat upon directly and some are designed to have a regular toilet seat on them and the user sits on that. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Very nice product. It works very well, and I have both hot and cold. I keep it at warm. I had another product which leaked unto my ceiling. Bath is on 2nd floor. My handyman installed this and like the quality, At first he was a bit worried about the hose for the hot water, but after installation, declared that it was sturdy and "This will work.". I really like it. What a difference it makes!!! I am going to install this in all my bathrooms. Only issue is that one will need the attachment to be on the left. We will see. Final word....great!!!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazed at its simplicity We stayed at in elegant hotel in Hawaii and they had a bidet in room we really enjoyed it so we decided to buy one. This one was very low price at Home Depot and I was amazed at how simple it was to install. Upon using it it is a very nice item for the price I'll totally recommend it. July 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great! I bought this for my basement toilet that I just installed(another HD product!) and was amazed at how easy it was to install. I just hooked up the cold water side as our water temp coming in was about 75 degrees but will hook up the hot before winter comes! Don't want to freeze everything! Glad I bought this as it cleans and saves on TP. Might get another for the upstairs bath. September 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by simple bidet Great idea! It can be attached to any toilete seat. No need to carry apecial warm water line and warm water is a must in this type of device in the colder climate zones. One can tap into existing line in practically any bathroom configuration. I enjoy using it and recommend to anyone. September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great purchase very good quality and installed JUST GREAT...would buy again August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is fantastic! The dual temperature Fresh Spa is terrific! You can adjust the temperature of the water with a simple twist of the dial. You can also adjust the water pressure with a second dial. There are three position settings and a nozzle clean feature. This is a great addition to any bathroom that is too small to have a bidet. Fresh Spa is a wonderful way to feel extra fresh. August 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this! PROS-- Easy to install, has hot water, 3 settings that make it good for both women and men-- CONS--- You have to connect the hot water line to the sink so depending on your vanity you may have to drill a hole in vanity-------------- Full review---- I've had a lot of infections lately and I discovered bidets will researching things that could help. I bought this bidet from my local Home Depot. It only took my boyfriend 20 minutes to install. The line connections are real metal and should last a long time without leaking. No leaks so far with 3 months of use. My vanity doesn't go all the way to the floor so we drilled a hole in the bottom of the vanity for the hot water line. The line isn't very visible. I put my trash can in front of the lines and you can't even see them. I like the hot water option and the 3 placement settings. I feel very fresh and clean after using this. I'll never go back to toilet paper! I've been using this for 3 months and have been infection free so I would really recommend this for lady use. August 15, 2016
