The hot line would have to come from the hot connection in the wall with the T-connector provided. I decided not to connect hot water and it works fine.

It will work with just the cold water from the toilet feed. The water may be uncomfortably cool without the hot mix, but it will function fine with just cold.

You can run a hot line if you want. I find the cold isn't unpleasant at all, and I decided not even to hook up the hot line on mine. I like just the cold water. Very refreshing.

Answer:
no, you don't have to run a hot water line. It's optional. The hot water inlet is capped off out of the box, so you can go use just cold water if desired. That's what I did...after using it, I wouldn't even recommend adding the hot water line. The "cold" water is no big deal.

Yes, they supply a 8ft hose to use and a T valve to hook into the hot water supply. It's a tranluscent hose so its easy to conceal.

Answer:
You can use it as cold water only but there are cheaper cold water only units out there. To use hot water, the included parts are made to tap into the bathroom sink hot water line. Note: the hot water tubing is 6 feet so you'll need to DIY your own connection or find longer tubing if your sink is further away.

Answer:
The bidet comes with a six foot hose and a splitter (or t-valve) for the hot water connection. The splitter will divert some of the hot water from your hot connection under the sink. Then the hose brings the water to the bidet. If your toilet is further than six feet from your sink, contact the manufacturer for longer hose length.

Specifically, I'm wondering how much 'clearance' from the porcelain bowl. We need a toilet seat riser for mobility reasons, that sits ON TOP to the standard seat... but hoping there is enough clearance to use from atop the seat riser. I'm sure there is enough water pressure/force to reach the extra 3 inches, but don't know if there will be a physical obstruction.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product Very nice product. It works very well, and I have both hot and cold. I keep it at warm. I had another product which leaked unto my ceiling. Bath is on 2nd floor. My handyman installed this and like the quality, At first he was a bit worried about the hose for the hot water, but after installation, declared that it was sturdy and "This will work.". I really like it. What a difference it makes!!! I am going to install this in all my bathrooms. Only issue is that one will need the attachment to be on the left. We will see. Final word....great!!!! July 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This is a mini-bidet attachment. You can hook up just cold water (which works for me) or also hook up (parts provided) a hot water source so you can set the temperature. It was easy and quick to install. One issue is that the nozzle (the part that actually squirts your bottom) on mine drips on a regular basis--in other words, it won't turn totally all the way off. That's why four stars instead of five. In terms of use, you may have to experiment to learn how long and at what angle to use it. The box says you won't have to use TP, but this system (quite obviously) leaves your bottom wet. I use paper towels to wipe dry. I like it, I use it, and I will keep it. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazed at its simplicity We stayed at in elegant hotel in Hawaii and they had a bidet in room we really enjoyed it so we decided to buy one. This one was very low price at Home Depot and I was amazed at how simple it was to install. Upon using it it is a very nice item for the price I'll totally recommend it. July 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Price-Quality are Right! This add-on bidet made it possible for me to have the luxury that a bidet can provide. This unit is simple to install, performs as advertised, and generally improves hygiene and comfort for all members of the household! I'm so glad I found it, I didn't even know this existed! October 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Raving about this to my friends... I hired a plumber to put the bidet attachment on the toilet and connect it to the hot water line at the same time I was having the toilet removed and reinstalled for a floor tiling job. The plumber was skeptical about the quality of the bidet, especially the plastic tubing for the hot water connection. He suggested that I turn the hot water off under the sink when I was going to be away in case there was a rupture. This did not instill confidence. He did, however, ask me to tell him how I liked it... so it seems he was considering getting one for his home even with the less than desirable tubing. That said, I have loved the bidet itself and have raved about it to all my friends. It's revolutionary in its simplicity and effectiveness, and I am consistently pleased that I purchased it. I wish the attachment to the hot water appeared sturdier, but as others have said, it works just fine with only cold water. Actually, I seldom wait for the water to heat up anyway, so the cold alone would have been sufficient. In summary, it's a terrific addition to my daily grooming activities. October 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It works perfectly! It's very easy to install! It has great water pressure and retractable nozzle has 3 adjustable angled settings which is very convenient! We had another brand before which from start didn't have good water pressure and also nozzle was not adjustable! October 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Simple yet Amazing What can I say? I just installed this yesterday during my lunch break and am already completely satisfied, even my wife who was reluctant at first loves it and convinced me to hook up the warm water feature. Installation was simple for me and all of the included parts worked with my existing fittings. One thing I had to do for the T-connector that goes to the hot water supply line was use two of the rubber washers between the supply line valve and the t-connector; reason being is the 'height' of the threads on the supply line valve was too short for the t-connector. Adding the second washer, which was included with this bidet, closed the difference. I also used some of the included teflon tape for good measure. This is a great system. We all want to feel clean and not very long ago my doctor told me to throw away the baby wipes and use wet toilet paper instead. Well, not to get graphic but applying paper mache to my "area" is less then clean. I will say the bidet control panel sticks out a little far for my liking. I noticed Home Depot also sells a toilet seat with an integrated bidet for around one hundred and nine dollars. If I hadn't just purchased a new toilet seat for forty dollars I would have considered that. I don't know if the seat-integrated models come with the hot water option. As far as aiming the nozzle after you install this thing do yourself a favor, sit down, place a towel over your legs and knees, and SLOWLY turn the 'wash' control toward the on position. If the towel is dry, your back is dry, and your bottom is clean, you are good to go. Also make sure that the underside of your toilet seat is not too wet. Depending on how much pressure you dial in, and how long you let it 'clean' you, it may accumulate some water there. Easy enough to wipe off with a small piece of toilet paper. For me the default or 'straight down' position of the adjustable nozzle is working best so far. I can't believe I installed a bidet but I love it. September 29, 2016
