Hello Sue,
Thank you for your question and your interest in Brondell. The Cypress is not tested for heavy metals such as lead and mercury although our Coral three stage system is and greatly reduces them. Please contact us if you have any further questions.

Answer:
No it does not. You'll need to purchase a Reverse Osmosis system. Brondell has a very efficient Reverse Osmosis system called Circle RO.

Answer:
Hi Johnny,
While the refrigerator line was not the intended place of installation for the Cypress, we have heard of successful installations there. We suggest consulting your plumber to make sure this is done correctly.

Answer:
Hello Gopal,
The first and third stage filters need to be changed every six months while the second stage filter needs to be changed every twelve months. You can set a reminder or mark the date on the filters themselves. Hope this answers your questions, please feel free to contact us at support@brondell.com if you have any more.

H2O+ Cypress Countertop Water Filtration System is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 44.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! We bought this filter a month ago. So far we love it! It totally took away the chlorine taste. We are renting right now so we bought this model but when we move into our more permanent home I will purchase the reverse osmosis for a couple of hundred dollars more.I feel that it would meet more of our health conscience needs. I love the way is reduces toxins and parasites especially since we live in FL where they do a lot of chemical spraying.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Read the specs This sounds like a great filter, until you read the specifications. The VOC filter is rated for 90 gallons. We filter 90 gallons in a month, let alone a year. With the replacement filter being $60 that's 67 cents per gallon, a little less than I normally pay for distilled water. After the 90 gallons the filter still works(up to 5000 gallons), just no longer removing the VOCs. Removal of the VOCs, I assume, is the reason you bought this filter in the first place. Without VOC removal you could buy other faucet mounted reverse osmosis brands that cost about $30 and have $7 replacement filters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality of water We had a Brita filter and were constantly buying new filters for it. My wife was always drinking water bottles until I got this great water filter. It took me about 10 minutes to install and it came with everything you need. Water quality is excellent, The valve, that is activated when you push the button at the top of the product, does not drip when you remove the cup. My wife was impressed with the water quality and even noticed the difference when it used the filtered water to make tea. It takes up very little counter space and looks good on the counter. The 3 stage filter system life spans are great 2 of the filters last for 6 months and the 3rd one lasts a year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made our water taste amazing! This has transformed our tap water! So easy to deal with, no worries about leaking and easy to install. We live in a condo and this has been a great solution. If you drink a lot of water, you're going to need to change filters more often. The year long filter life is estimated at 1/2 gal per day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Filtered water solution This is an excellent solution for filtered water. Its very easy to hook up and use. Note, the hardware the comes with the system is for faucets that have threads at the end of the tap(my faucets didn't have this). For my installation I needed to buy an adapter that allowed me to Tee my water line with a quick disconnect 1/4 in tube output. Once installed everything worked great. The overall look and feel of the system is excellent. The filtered water taste great and the push button on the top of the unit has a nice tactile fell and operation. This is a great alternative to buying bottled water and other filtering systems out there. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice water filtering fixture for their kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from State of the art water filtration system. I was so much excited and said to myself, "vow!" when I opened the box. This is the exact water filter I had been longing for, for several years, since I was very much disappointed with the bulky and heavy, under the counter Reverse Osmosis water filter. It is so easy to use, and you can connect it under one minute. I have added a video demonstration of how to connect it. Just find the right adapter for the faucet from the supplied box . Connect it to the faucet. Connect the 1/4 inch polyurethane tubing to the quick connect adapter. Now connect the other end of the tube to the water quick connect inlet behind the filter unit. That's it. You are ready to enjoy clean water. (When using first the time and when you change filters, you need to run the water for 10 minutes to purge out the contaminants and carbon.) It can also be connected to under sink water connector or even to the refrigerator water connector with a 'T" connector. If you do not like to leave it on the counter, you can fill your water bottles. The amazing filtration system produces 1 liter of of water every 30 seconds, I filled five 3 liter bottles in 7 minutes 30 seconds! You can disconnect it in 2 seconds and when you need it you can re-connect it in less than a minute. it is all up to your likeness and convenience. Enjoy clean water !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Check cost of refills This is a big unit on the counter (check dimensions) and the refills are more than the unit is new on sale. I've had it for a year, works fine, decent enough, but it would be rather pricy if you change the filters regularly at their retail price. But if I could find them on sale I'd up the rating and recommend it.
