Answer:
Yes you can. The instructions recommend having a GF outlet installed near the toilet to plug into, but they also give specs on what kind of extension cord to use if that is your only option. I have an extension cord on mine and have had no problems. Just be sure to keep the plug safely off the ground in case of any kind of water leakage in your bathroom.

The manual reads: "If using an extension cord is unavoidable, use one with grounding terminals for 120V~/60Hz or higher only."

Magnetic or otherwise wall-mountable remote?

Hi there, I recently used one of these automatic high tech bidet's at a local plumbing place. It was from a different manufacturer but in the same price range and had its remote mounted to the wall. When I read the specifications of it online, I saw that it actually comes with a magnetic board that the remote control is attached to on the wall. Do we have this option with this make and model?
Thanks,

The remote comes with a wall mountable holder and screws to mount it, but I used double-sided mounting tape by Command™ so I can move it if I ever wanted to.

Thank you for your question! The cord on the Swash is 3.5' long and extends from the right side of the toilet seat when looking at it installed. It should be plugged into a standard GFI outlet.

If you need a higher seat, you might want to get a taller toilet. That's what we did. Ours are handicapped height, and so much easier to use. The Swash itself is only slightly taller, if at all, than a normal toilet seat in the front, and because it is kind of contoured, is a bit higher in back. But if you need extra inches, the Swash alone will not give you that. I would not recommend just putting a riser under the Swash for two reasons: one is that the Swash attaches to the toilet and the riser would compromise the security of the attachment, and the second is that the spray from the Swash might not be contained properly if you were using a riser. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great seat for a full-sized commode The Swash 1000 is a high quality unit, but unfortunately it didn't fit on my small one-piece Kohler commode (the tank is integral with the bowl). I was disappointed to have to return it, but if you have a full-size commode you will be impressed with this unit. I used one at a hotel in Hawaii, loved it, and was happy to purchase one when HD offered it as a deal of the day. It's a pricey addition to your bathroom, but worth every penny. HD refunded my money with no problems (the unit was never installed or used) so I was happy with the overall experience. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Refreshing I recently had surgery on my rear which will take some time to heal. Cleaning has been painful and difficult to say the least. Today, I am a new person. I never felt more refreshed and clean, including before the surgery. My wife has echoed the same for her. Moreover, no need wear pads to protect against remaining residue - there is none. I highly recommend it. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome toilet seat After using this type of toilet seat in Japan, I couldn't revert back to the regular type we use here in the states so I purchased this one because it had all of the functions of the one I used in Japan but is American made. July 16, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Swash and Dry This product is easily one of the best products I have ever purchased . It was extremely easy to install and worked perfectly from the first time I tried it . I don't think I could ever go back to the 19th century version of a toilet . October 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Add-On Bidet on the market! This is Don's wife writing this review for obvious reasons lol... My husband got this for me for our anniversary. Best gift EVER!! It does everything you could possibly want in a bidet and with so many options for personalizing it to your exact specifications, how could you not love it?! It was incredibly easy to install and went in first try without a hitch in about 15 minutes and I did it by myself. I did also have to install an outlet behind the toilet but that was easy and only took about 30 minutes since there was an existing one on the other side of the wall (my dad was an electrician so I knew how to do that). I love how this bidet is mostly self cleaning and sanitizing!! If there is a need to ever manually clean it, well, that's easy as well! The surfaces are all smooth without any unnecessary crevasses to trap dirt or bacteria so you know it's clean and sanitary. One thing I need to mention is, to be patient after you choose a function, depending on what temperature you've chosen it can take up to 15 seconds to begin spraying. I thought it wasn't working at first but now I'm used to it. I could go on and on about how great this is!! If you're on the fence about whether to get it or not, stop hesitating and just buy it!! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It Does Everything it Claims The Swash 1000 Electric Bidet Seat lives up to all of it's promises. The seat was quite easy to install and took me less than an hour to have it fully operational. The seat does a great job of providing a clean and comfortable wash. The remote control allows the user to adjust the pressure of the water flow and the angle the water is delivered to the body. The dryer provides a gentle air flow that drys the surrounding area. Maintaining and cleaning of the seat is very simple and accomplished with a light wipe down. I purchase the product to relieve bleeding of my hemorrhoids caused by the use of toilet paper. The product is gentle and has resolved the situation with my hemorrhoids. I definitely would recommend this product for anyone that would like to enjoy a gentler and comfortable bathroom experience. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely amazing! I have wanted one of these seats for such a long time; finally broke down and bought one. Needed to have an outlet installed by the toilet and the same guy put the seat on for me (not free, had to pay). It was well worth it. All I can say is that it does the job and does it well!
